  1. i thought this was going to be awful having not watched the the new version yet but i commited to watching the semi because had interest, and i didnt totally hate the obstacle element the fencing knockout bit at the start is also a lot more fun to watch you know what, you've charmed me
  2. well happy for morgan lake clearing 2m and getting a british record, hope she can at least maintain that level and hopefully get a world medal over the next few years
  3. Yeah, i don't 100% trust jonas to destroy everyone the way pog did at the giro last year, also looking forward to watching UAE all argue and fallout with one another without someone to lead them
  4. The opposite here, pog missing the vuelta has made it actually interesting
  5. looks like its on youtube so will give this a watch, edit: for £9.99, nah its allright any of the gb crews likely to make finals? this is a aport outside olympics i dont pay much attention to but i know we didnt have much impact on the last olympiad
  6. GB lost in the QF but then won their ranking matches to finish 5th overall, the beat italy twice in this tournament but were outclassed by austria in the QFs the euro flag tournament is next month so will be a better yardstick of how we fair overall against europe, im going to assume being a 6 team touney only one spot may go to europe so we have a bit of a gao to close, especially defensivly
  7. loved flag football and lacrosse was ok, of the two flag football was a lot more competitive across the board. most of the roller sports were good, and yeah like everyone else get tumbling in no more combat sports please (unless an mma alternative comes up, which im surprised it isnt even at this level) agree with whoever said a bowling sport should be added
  8. its a really good watch, QF against austria will be close, but beating japan was massive and probably an upset. they got smashed by mexico but that was to be expected
  9. really enjoying flag football, only watched morning session so far but 3 really close games including canada v u.s the female commentator is really good, the male commentator is just reading from his generic phrasebook, just give her the mic and go have a lie down
  10. the mens team were unlucky i felt, they bossed germany but conceded, and they were below par against france but had done enough, switching off with 8 seconds on the clock is inexcusable though europe is just so strong at hockey at the moment i would fancy both teams chances in last chance world qualifying groups unless the wheels come off completly
  11. GB disappointingly eliminated in the group stage of the women's lacrosse tournament. They destroyed china in their first game, played really well against Canada but ultimately lost as Canada pulled away in the second half of that game, and then also lost to Japan after getting themselves into silly trouble with fouls. As a sport i actually quite like it, GB are the highest ranked team in Europe so i'm hoping this tournament has some placement games as would get to see where they are at against ireland and czechia
  12. what sports are people going to be watching today, i'm mainly watching lacrosse so i cant pretend i know about it come LA28 and will dabble in some softball and definitely some korfball, anything else people think worth watching?
  13. Love this, thank you. gonna put more effort into trying to attend some qualification events over the next few years and something like that (because i cant be arsed hunting round the internet definitly helps) wasn't too bothered about women's cricket world cup next year until that announcement that's it's likely a qualifier now i'm all over england group stage games
  14. at the world games in china i have noticed that GB qualified teams in the womens (no men's tournament at all) flag football and lacrosse, both events are 8 team tounaments so getting there is a very good start the flag football tournament starts on the 14th of august lacross starts on the 7th the only other olympic level sport where ive seen GB are sending competitors is archery, 1 female compound, and 1 male and female in the recurve does anyone know how to watch these events? think they will be on youtube?
  15. shame ross cullen is out injured on the mens side, he looked good throughout the season, kye just cant seem to get it going anymore beths semi final was arguabley more impressive because she usually just rolls around after a start like that, to eat up almost the entire field was a good watch
  16. yes, but still a little underwhelmed. been a couple hanging around the medals like evans which is something to build on but a lot of the squad seem really off the pace
  17. phew, because that one of playoff idea sounded disgusting. 2 out of 3 match series or even 3 out of 5 would be a better way to do it, but with my british hat on go with the rankings because thats a walk in the park
  18. whats the worst commentating you've ever heard in sports? is it worse than the absolute bag of squeeling cats on eurovision diving streams?
  19. diving is going resonabley well.... what is going on in the pool though
  20. i think that is actually the format now. so you get your wish
  21. I'm still preparing Well done girls, showing our men how to get across the line again
  22. Evie Richards wins silver at the european mtb championahips, although a big gap between 1st and 2nd Pidcock continues to annoy the MTB tryhards by winning the mens race and taking the jersey off tv for the next year 🤣 Aldridge again impresses coming 2nd for a 1-2
  23. that was so much better than the usual final stage in paris, sorry sprinters. wout gapping tadej was incredible
