Sorry but what form? What team are you seeing as being better than us having 2 in the final, with 2 guys who could well have pushed into the top 16...? Seriously, what team is winning gold for you? The US have Hobson in form, and possibly Foster to come in, but beyond that? Guiliano couldn't make the semi finals

if she doesnt give away at least 6-7 metres at the start she is in PB territory. I can't believe how well she came back there, she was nowhere at halfway

I wouldn't read too much into it based on that one race. Hwang went out too hard and Richards may well have wasted too much energy trying to go with him. Duncan swam much more his own race

For the love of god man - sports in this country are not going to be defunded or disappearing post Paris regardless of the medal count. The Jumping team, Eventing team and EVEN the dressage team without our most decorated star are very likely to do well (and currently have been doing so in the Eventing). Have a beer, sit back, try to enjoy the Sport!!

Canter penalties stand on the official results. No idea where the offense occurred but there we are. GBR lead France by only just over a fence going into the jumping tomorrow.

good start for the GB Women's 7s...beat Ireland 21-12 and played generally quite well. Might be a dark horse to sneak a medal

Canter review ongoing from what BBC are reporting. Missed flag penalty is indeed the issue (horse jumping partly outside a white flag). Makes a big difference to the team standings (currently 4.8 clear of France, and not 19.8)

15 pt is a missed flag. I saw no issues on the live feed, nor anything on the scoreboard... A NZ rider was given a 15pt MF penalty which was later removed (I would imagine on appeal) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed its removed.

Its a little frustrating, Laura took the "slow" route from what I could see at the last water section which probably cost her making the time. On the team front its really only France within striking distance but GB lead going into the jumping is very healthy

it's a bad look with the fighter who got a deduction for an infringement winning on draws.

Just seen the Eccles scorecards...without seeing the fight, strikes me as rather bizarre that she is deemed to have lost that based on the actual scores. One judge gave it to her 30-26, she wins 2-1 outright on the scores of the 5 judges, with 2 others viewing it as a draw but giving the edge to her opponent -> she loses 3-2 on points.

mens 4 were comprehensively beaten by NZ in the heat... it was always the least sure of the GBR 6 fav boats due to NZ and USA.

Yeah it was showing a rejection in the water where she had a little moment, but thank god it was a website issue!!

Laura through but a couple of seconds over the time so adds 0.8 to her score. Opens up the gold medal advantage for individual to Michael Jung potentially.
