Does anybody this OG Quali detail? If I enter the OG ranking on IWF website, there are all the categories even though they are not all at the Olympic program. So are considered any 102kg athletes to be possibly qualified for 109kg event or for example are any 55kg athletes considered to be qualified for 61kg event? Thanks a lot for the answer.

Guys, I have overheard that some companies are hiring "workers" for the Olympic period to operate some places even at the Olympic venues. Have seen any link but read a discussion thread on Facebook. Seems that they are offering around 1200-1800 JPY per hour and they seem to be able to the overseas workers to Japan. Has anybody heard anything about that? I am trying to find some sources where to find information about these job offers but I failed to find those. I live in with a long term visa. So if the company accepted me, I would definitely go to participate, of course, if they company secures my arrival. With chinese side, I could surely figure out how to get back as I have been living here since 2015. Thanks for any info.

Yes, I was counting myself yesterday. If it was 10 team, then I believe will earn the spot. I believe that they will add some points from Grand Prix to have the spot even more secured. I was just worried if they did not decrease the number to 8 teams as there were some other disciplines added in other sports. Filip and Naty will have tough time at Nebelhorns but with their current level, I believe they may even qualify for the ice dance even so we may not need any additional quota. But let's see in autumn....

Guys, out of curiosity. Was trying to figure out how many teams will qualify for the figure skating team event at the Olympics. I found the quali criteria but I failed to find the number of team will qualify for Beijing 2022. Thanks

Tak jsem se bohužel přepočítal. Saša je první Evropan pod čarou a musí na kontinentální kvalifikaci za měsíc do Madridu, kde bude jen jedno místo v každé kategorii :-(

I am not very sure. I am trying to count but according to my counting is actually Llavador who is 3rd from these 3 guys. Today: 38. Mepstead, 81. Llavador but 12. Choupenitch. .... Alexander should earn enough points today to jump Llavador but not enough to jump Mepstead. Before GP Doha 15. Mepstead 98.000 pts 18. Llavador 92.000 pts 21. Choupenitch 84.000 pts Maybe I am wrong but according to my counting the two who made the Olympic cut are Mepstead and Choupenitch. .... But maybe you have different information?

Možná jsem se unáhlil, ale mých počtů by to mělo vyjít, ale někteří mě vyváděj v omyl, tak uvidím. Ale dnes skončil na GP 12. a jeho největší sokové o postup 38. a 81. což mu dává velkou šanci na to, že je přeskočí. Měl by přeskočit alespoň jednoho.

He performed really well. I think, in Zona Qualifiers he will be the one who will have the highest possibility to qualify for Tokyo :-)

I am correct. Llavador was eliminated in T64, which means that Choupenitch and Siess will both jump him. Pity for to lose the continental quota during the very last moment. Anyways, for now, Choupenitch is still ranked highest, as before today's competition - 21. Choupenitch - 84.000 pts; 28. Seiss - 64.000pts. Which means, if my counting is correct, Seiss would have to make at least semifinals to jump Choupenitch and make the Continental quota. I don't wish anything bad to anybody, I just hope the continental quota stays to Choupenitch :-D

I heard stories from all kinds of ways. The quali system would be the way the finish top 2 and having 2 people who rank together equals 13 or less would have normally entered 3 quotas for the Olympics. As it was before. So regarding the old rules, they would not need 3 skaters in the free skates and they would have earned 3 quotas anyways. E.g. Nathan Chen and Jason Brown got only two spots cause Vincent Zhou did not make the cut to the free skate. As I heard, ISU wanted to make the rules more fair for the small countries during the 2021 WCH. So you can even see skaters finishing last after free skate and making the Beijing 2022 cut. As it seems. While watching TV, I also listened to Tomáš Verner who spoke a lot about it. He did not seem to me very confused. He said exactly the stuff about giving chance to small countries from WCH and if the big countries need 3rd or 2nd spot for the Games, they need to fight again at the Nebelhorns Trophy. For me, more fair than before. ..... The question is, will the quota for Nebelhorn Trophy increase or will it remain the same as announced at the beignning of the quali system? .... We will see.... Anyways, ISU said that the official quota will be announced by the April 11 latest. So let's wait and see. My opinion, I stick with the rules and they are being claimed as the most possible right now after the "crazy changes"... meaning that Bidař/Zhuk and Březinová all made the cut.....

Yep, it seems that way. Heard some rumours the quota might be counted differently. But hope the quota for Czechs will remain unchanged. We are missing Ice Dance though. Hoping to qualify from Nebelhorn Trophy in the fall.

Matej je ohromny talent, uz v Pekingu asi bude bojovat o medaile. Nicmene prestup do jine zeme mene nez rok pred OH? Podle meho mu MOV nepovoli start..... Uvidime .... Bylo samozrejme fajn, kdyby jezdil za nas. Ale i kdyz prestoupi do jine zeme, porad to bude cesky Matej a porad budeme mit radost z jeho uspechu. I must say when I look at , I hope we earn all the quota. I am not worried about Březina in Men's Singles. If his sister defeats 2 ladies in free skate, she will get the spot, too. And I believe that Taschler sibblings can perform their standart, maybe attack their PB which may also guarantee a quota to them which would be also a good way to also be able to participate for in the team event for the very first time!!! POJĎME ČESKO!!!!

Yeah, they said in the interview they expected a bit higher score. But they made Olympic quota which they are happy for.
