  1. Team for the upcoming season: https://sirc.ca/news/national-skeleton-program-charges-headfirst-into-olympic-season/ Its possible we don't even qualify a male for the Olympics.

  3. Its the timing apparently but both sports competed around the same time in Buenos Aires.
  4. Canada will not be competing in athletics and swimming.
  5. Starting this to let everyone know Canada will not sending anyone in athletics (Of note, Canada has never won a Youth Olympic medal in the sport) Also Canada wont send any swimmers.

  7. Canada will compete in all sports except Netball. Swimming - 12 athletes have been named already to the team Cycling - 10 quotas (5 per gender). 3 will be selected per gender in sprint events and 2 in endurance. All other sports are pending. Some have qualification systems such as 3x3 basketball (we should qualify a full team) and Weightlifting (Maude Charron and Braydon Kennedy are already qualified).

  10. And I wish they could have done more! Not to be a downer but most our top skaters will likely retire after the Olympics, with no heir apparent.

  14. The disaster continues for the men, the team pursuit fell and finished 8th in the B division. They will likely not qualify for the Olympics. What a shit-show.
