  1. Tokyo Olympic champion Kelsey Mitchell will be trying out the for the Canadian bobseld team https://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/winter/bobsleigh/olympic-cycling-champion-kelsey-mitchess-tries-out-bobsleigh-team-9.6935326
  2. Canada v Italy in the A final of the men's 500
  3. Curacao defeats Jamaica and lead their group. If they end up qualifying, they'd be the smallest nation to qualify by population.
  4. Its possible they consider the University Games as well. Speaking of which I know U sports wants a winter games in Canada, with a dearth of hosts, I suspect one sooner rather than later. The COC was also looking at the 2032 Winter Youth Olympics, but unsure where that lies right now.
  5. Not sure, its part of policy " Government of Canada support, in accordance with the Hosting Program budget and/or necessary approvals, for the hosting of: Two (2) International Major Multisport Games every ten (10) years;"
  6. Also worth noting in 2027 Asuncion proposed adding Bocce, Futsal and beach soccer to the program. Also, would stage the surfing competitions, if I am not mistaken the first Pan American Games with a venue outside the main hosts.
  7. There was interest from Winnipeg to host in 2031, but nothing became of that. Maybe the Research Triangle in the USA will try for it after he University Games. 2035 will be 20 years since a major multi-sport event in Canada, the government's policy is to fund 2 every 10 years, so clearly we have fallen behind.
  8. Vote count was 28 for Asuncion 24 for Rio,which coincidentally was the same result when Asuncion lost for the 2027 Games. Brazil will start as favourites for 2035, unless a bid from North America/ Mexico throw their hat into the ring (since it has been 3 games in a row in South America)
  9. The 2031 Pan American Games will be hosted by Asuncion !!!
  10. Living voting about to start https://www.panamsportschannel.org/player?id=650da78ae4b0892675128a81&type=live What struck me during the presentations is Rio's proposed budget is almost double Ascuncion's.
  11. Through 11 races The Lafrance sisters are ranked second! Men's boats are 55/77th through 10 Nacra boat is 30th through 12
  12. Maddy Boyd tied for first!!after 2/5 rounds of qualification at the World Championships (skeet)
  13. Yes. Other stadiums as well. Toronto's will be known as "Toronto Stadium"
  14. He's sort of right. It was built as a multi sport venue and hosted baseball and Canadian football teams (along with soccer games) years ago. However, its now been converted to a baseball only venue.
  15. If you are going to spew garbage, at least try to link the correct image.
  16. The winner will be named tomorrow for the 2031 Pan American Games
  17. Maude Charron wins silver at worlds.
  18. Blue Jays 12 Yankees 0 in the 5th inning
  19. Some drama out of Belgium https://www.instagram.com/p/DPWfZk9jCYj/
