  1. Two more medal chances to go on the final day of the Paralympics, as we attempt to match our best ever finish since Beijing 2008 (London 2012 was 31) Women’s wheelchair basketball team takes on China for bronze at 1:30am PST/4:30 AM EST and Brianna Hennessy goes for her second medal of these Paralympics in women’s KL1-200m at 2:25 AM PST/5:25 AM EST.
  2. Men’s team defeated US 2-1 in an international friendly earlier today!
  3. Nicholas Bennett and Brianna Hennessy have been named as Canada’s closing ceremony flagbearers.
  4. Bronze for Shelby Newkirk in women’s 100m backstroke S6. Had much higher hopes for here here, yeugh.
  5. 4th for our men’s wheelchair basketball team losing the bronze medal match to Germany
  6. 20-17 win over Spain to improve to 2-0!
  7. Sheriauna Haase through to the women’s 200m T47 final!
  8. Guendouz wins gold in men’s KL3-200m, in Algeria’s first ever appearance in this sport at the Paralympics
  9. Hennessy wins silver in women’s VL2-200m for Canada’s 25th medal at these Paralympics! Hopefully I’m not jinxing anything, but our best ever finish since Beijing 2008 (31 medals) is looking real close, and we still have a decent amount of chances left (bronze medal matches in women’s sitting volleyball and men’s/women’s wheelchair basketball, Scarff in women’s VL3-200m and Hennessy in women’s KL1-200m, Clement in men’s T1-2 road race, Routliffe and Dorris in women’s 50m butterfly S7 and Newkirk in women’s 100m backstroke S6, Reich in men’s 1500m T38, Vucsics in Men’s long jump T20)
  10. SILVER FOR HENNESSY! HISTORY IN THE MAKING! Hennessy wins her 1st ever Paralympic medal in the women’s VL2-200m final, after finishing 5th in Tokyo! First ever medal for Canada at the Paralympics in para canoeing
  11. 0.02 off the podium for Swoboda
  12. 4th for Alexandre Hayward in the men’s C1-3 road race.
  13. Absolute dominance by Kiss as he defends his Paralympic title in men’s KL1-200m! 44.55, a new Paralympic best time!
  14. These Paralympics have been a blast, it’s such a shame that it’s almost over
  15. Erica Scarff through to the women’s VL3 200m final!
  16. Danielle Dorris and Tess Routliffe through to the women’s 50m butterfly S7 final!
  17. Women’s Series Final in Hangzhou is on this weekend No Bosch this time around, and the usual Brown as the alternate, but both Plouffe sisters and Crozon are on the squad. Canada opened up with a 19-10 win over China U24 in the group stage! (started 10-0 up)
  18. Soares Da Silva, what a run Absolutely demolishes the WR in women’s 400m T13 with a HUGE 53.55!
  19. And it’s time. The final weekend and the final two days of the Paralympics. Big day, hopefully it won’t be a complete flop. We start off with Alexandre Hayward in the men’s C1-3 road race (12:30 AM PST/3:30 AM EST), then go back to the track for Austin Smeenk as he takes on the men’s 800m T34 final (1:11 AM PST/4:11 AM EST), Brianna Hennessy searches for Canada’s first Paralympic medal in canoe sprint in women’s VL2 200m (2:52 AM PST/5:52 AM EST) but if not we’ll get a second chance with Erica Scarff assuming she makes the final (3:36 AM PST/6:36 AM EST), then switch back to the road for Nathan Clement in men’s T1-2 road race (3:45 AM PST/6:45 AM EST), continue on with the women’s sitting volleyball bronze medal match against Brazil (6:00 AM PST/9:00 AM EST), during then will most likely be the men’s wheelchair bronze medal match against Germany (7:00 AM PST/10:00 AM EST), Shelby Newkirk, Danielle Dorris, and Tess Routliffe will look to add to our medal total of 11 on the final day of para swimming action in the women’s 100m backstroke S6 (Newkirk) at 8:53 AM PST/11:53 AM EST and in the women’s 50m butterfly at 9:36 AM PST/12:36 PM EST where Dorris is the reigning Paralympic Champion, Nate Reich will also attempt to defend his Paralympic title in the men’s 1500m T38 final (10:09 AM PST/1:09 PM EST) and rising star Noah Vucsics takes on the men’s long jump T20 final (10:20 AM PST/1:20 PM EST)
  20. @Laraja hope you enjoyed the game!
  21. Canada fall 2-0 to Brazil at the U20 Women’s World Cup, and finish third in their group with a 1-1-1 record. Good enough for a spot in the round of 16 though.
  22. Well, that’s the loss. Oh well, it was still a great performance by them, time to rest and regroup against China for a shot at bronze.
