  5. As previously reported by my good buddy @intoronto, the Canadian Table Tennis Olympic Trials (had no clue we even had an event for selection before yesterday) have just concluded with Jeremy Hazin joining pre-selected Eugene Wang and Edward Ly in the team event.
  6. Adding on to that, it looks like Eugene Wang and Edward Ly will be our representatives in the men’s singles event.
  7. Beach handball will make it’s “Olympic debut” in Paris as an exhibition event, set to take place from July 27-29. There will be four teams competing in each of the men’s/women’s tournaments.   18. Men’s World Championships have started. Team Gushue starts 3-0, after a 9-8 win over Czech Republic, a 8-5 win over Germany, and a 8-4 win over reigning World Champions (and 3x reigning European Champions) Scotland!

  24. Mouat attempts the thin double to get Scotland out of trouble but is unsuccessful which leaves Canada with an open draw for two and Gushue makes no mistake! leads 4-1 heading into the 5th end break, Scotland with the hammer in 6.
