Biden is starting to slip. Warren is up in multiple states now, including Iowa (obviously important) and California (important during the primaries). In fact she’s up +8% in California on Biden. My state is making itself clear as the “Norway” of the US.

Given the California state taxes it's just about right, it's a country within a country IMO.

I wouldn't consider Biden rich - he's a career politician. Being old and white is where the comparisons between the two of them end.

You name me a life-long politician who is poor? Biden was in Congress for almost 40 years before he became VP, I can only imagine how many 'donations' he accepted under the table over that span. Politics means power and power means money. It's even more glaring in a two-party system like the US where you can only be the minority for so long and your turn to be in charge will always come!

America has generally leaned Center-Right over the last few decades. Studies are beginning to show a national shift towards Center-Left. What’s really interesting is my generation and the millennials. My generation has a 45%-60% favorable opinion of socialism or at least democratic socialism. When combined with the millennials, young Americans vote left, and sometimes pretty far-left, on major issues by about 55-70%. American politics could see some interesting changes over the next decade or so.

I love “the squad”, just throwing that out there. They’re all amazing people with amazing stories. I do agree though, that some of they’re policies are questionable. Pelosi will be a goner pretty soon I think. The Democratic Party is moving further left, and old/center speaker won’t do it for us.

If Trump gets another four years the damage won be irreparable, and thus a chance for Calexit. I do really hope we don’t go that route though and that the US stabilizes one the next few years, but that looks less likely by the day...

With Biden leading the Dems polls it's kinda hilarious you'll be potentially replacing one rich old white guy with another rich old white guy though. The more things change, the more they stay the same

Well, democratic socialism only gets major support in countries which never experienced communism and are rich enough to sustain a huge welfare spending. It works well in Scandinavia given their smallish population but I don't see it working in USA over the long haul. Obamacare would be a bottomless well going forward and something would have to give there for sure.

I presume that new Patriots punt returner Gunner Olszewski has Polish last name as well?

I am also Patriots fan since Belichick grandparents (from father side) are from Croatia.

Yeah, Gunner Olszewski is of Polish descent. I was aware of Bellichick being of Croatian descent, he's been around too long not to take notice!

Actually no, Boston is seen as the one historically conservative city in the Northeast. It’s famous for its inhabitants being racists. Those are often the jokes about it anyways. Plus, the dumb accent.

I’ve just realized how much I dislike Boston. Huh :mumble:

Yet the entire New England has voted Democrats in the last 7 presidential elections (with only NH for Bush in 2000). So that's 41/42 score. That's quite a stretch.

Really sad to hear about the polish guy. He was caught before and shouldn't be allowed to compete. I really hope that he will never (again) win anything, although even that wouldn't be a consolation for all the people he has already stolen from. If guess if officials keep handling his doping samples the same way in the future, then he sadly has nothing to fear. Some nations/athletes just don't have any shame. It is a crazy thing to say, but in my opinion even Romani is less suspicious than the polish guy.

As long as DDR records are allowed to stand it's pretty rich that any German calls out other nations on doping allegations   Geez, Germany calling out people on doping standards. That's hogwash.

22m is such inflated mark these days. :p

I think it comes to the Europeans mastering the rotational technique which used to be USA's calling card for years. I guess some study must show it's more effective and let's face it, it's all about technique in the shot, not about raw power. David Storl is just about the only top European still using the push off and he's basically in decline for a while now. Polish guys didn't use the rotational due to the historical aspect of Wladyslaw Komar & Edward Sarul not to mention small, bulky guys like Haratyk didn't stand a chance to even make the shot put team.

  7. :POLSofia Ennaoui finished dead last in the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial today and announced she's battling a hip & Achilles issue and won't take part in Doha WCh :(

This extended season is turning out to be a real dud. Ennaoui joins Anita Wlodarczyk, Joanna Jozwik, Klaudia Siciarz & Cyprian Mrzyglod as high-profile Polish absentees. Not to mention Michal Haratyk has a finger swelling and will probably bomb out hard.

however, the full suspension is only related to the International Hockey Federation...

for what concerns his career in the NHL, he's not going to face such a long ban for sure...if he's going to face any...

NHL suspended him for 3 (THREE) games :p

I also hate how the party won’t like them go after each other during the debate.

If think realistically its Biden v. winner of Sanders v. Warren. Warren’s and Sander’s supporters will most likely support one or the other in my opinion.

I totally agree with you on the candidates doing to much in the primaries by the way.

But that's the whole point! Why would any party allow in-fighting in public between their supposedly top members? This makes no sense. It's a by-product of a dual party political system. Both GOP & Dems know their turn will come in a cycle so they can get away with anything including throwing dirt at their bandmates. If USA had a legit 4-5 party system none of these 20-candidate debates would ever take place. They would be forced to pick the strongest candidate in private without doing their dirty laundry in public. That's why I think the two-party system is always flawed. You allow the fat cats to sit on laurels for decades but it's actually the product of understanding the democratic system. Two bitter enemies stonewall everyone else and enjoy trading punches at each other knowing there's zero threat coming from outside. The last true outside influence in US politics was Ross Perot in 1992 elections.

Again democrats highly divided after the debate (the worst one in my opinion). Sanders and Biden supports do not like each other. They will struggle to vote for the others candidate when the debate is said and over. My family supports 3 entirely different candidates. My families are like that. We really can’t be this divided going into the election.

I like how amid all this call for a change and new progressive wave it's the rich, white old guy that leads the Democratic race. Unless Biden makes a huge mistake somewhere down the line it's his nomination to lose IMO. And other candidates fighting against each other actually gives the poll leader a bigger chance to win the nomination outright. This is why the sitting POTUS have had it so easier in the last 40+ years. The other party nominees waste waaay too much energy in winning their party vote they come in tired when the real duel is up. Probably won't be any different in Trump vs Biden. Trump has a clear advantage already as he's not concerned about being politically correct. Everyone knew he was a fool to begin with and he still defeated the allegedly shrewd political animal Hilary Clinton.

  • NBA is thriving on players becoming stars both on & off the court. The Dream Team mantra "We're gonna show the world how good we are" is dead. Players don't even care about their clubs in the NBA. It's all eyez on ME, not the club hence you see all these trades & moves all across the league. Even Toronto couldn't keep Kawhi after winning the title. Nobody wants to play in the Madison Square Garden anymore. Can you imagine players choosing Nets over the Knicks even 20 years ago? Or Clippers over the Lakers? Hell no. USA bombing out at the Worlds is just a by-product of the individual culture running wild in the NBA right now. And basketball is supposedly a team sport last time I checked. USA just didn't bring a team here, just a group of individuals.

I can’t wait for the mostly liberal Patriots fan base to deal with loving Antonio Brown, but also supporting the #metoo movement. Thank God I’m Lions fan and our players only get in trouble for assaulting players on the field :p

Is Boston that liberal? I believe Kraft, Bellichick & even Brady have called Trump as 'friend'? ;)  Patriots' reign of terror is probably more important than #MeToo and all that crap.
