Democracy doens't imply holding referendums whenever someone feels like it.

It's not nearly the same situation as Scotland did have their referendum recently, while Tibet never will under the current administration.

Tories promised Scotland that voting Remain will guarantee staying in EU and yet it was England and Wales who took them out of it. A bitter lie that someone will pay the bill for, and I don't mean that complete idiot David Cameron who is making profit selling books about his stupid ideas.

USA and Philippines independence all over again. Wait X-years because we want you to wait and STFU

The last one was in 2014 and everyone agreed there wasn't going to be another for a generation ie 2040 or so.

The time frame for "generation" is very loose and can easily be manipulated. Reminds me how USA promised to grant Philippines independence but later claimed "they were not ready" so kept the colonization in tact until WWII finally swept the cards from the table and USA had no choice anymore. Since Scotland was mostly pro-EU I guess Brexit has also altered the possible agreements. Anyway, it clearly shows how "independence" can be manipulated within democratic politicial frames. UK Supreme Court decides when you can decide about independence

  3. Yeah, the wrong offside call basically prevented a second VAR penalty check. Things are never dull when Sikazwe is the ref (unless Poland plays Japan, a strange game where Japan losing 0-1 was enough to progress from the group so they didn't want to score a goal  ).
