  12. Yeah I wouldn't have got that any time soon - and unfortunately now all I keep hearing in my mind is the guy from Only Fools and Horses shouting "Gary!" (That reference will mean nothing to a lot of international posters)

  13. well our coach is really dumb his subs are always the same (no matter what's the score and who is the opponent) he used different squads in previous matches only because he was forced to do so (because of injuries and suspensions) I believe Azmoun is not fit for 90 minutes (or even worse, 120 minutes) but still it's hard to ignore his good record with the NT, it's a hard decision to bench him in important matches but still he is not effective as the only striker. I would start with a big and tall striker to tire the Japanese defense. but to answer your question with Taremi I think he would start with the same squad (only changing the CB who was suspended today) but now without Taremi ... I think our only option is to park the bus waiting for penalties or another blunder from Japanese GK. our team is too old, having only 2 days rest will favor Japan too. I really don't give too much chance to Iran. but this is football, everything is possible

  19. well, it could be a much much easier match, Iran missed so many big chances before Syria's goal and also this is Iran's first ever win on penalties at the Asian Cup in important matches (excluding non-important 3rd place matches) after losing 5 times in a row in the penalties in past 10 editions. but playing 120 minutes was terrible when you have to face Japan on Saturday (less than 72 hours from now) and losing Taremi . ... well it seems that's his destiny, 4 years ago he was also suspended against Japan in the SF.

  24. Ever the pessimist, but I have a feeling he is going to miss out. His form is just way too hit-and-miss (pardon the pun) and he hasn't been able to perform when it really matters so I don't think he will be able to get it done at either the World qualifier or European champs. If he doesn't get a quota at those events, then I don't think he'll get it through the rankings as there are at least 2 athletes ahead of him who don't currently have quotas in that list.

Entry list for the African OQT https://worldtkd.simplycompete.com/eventDetails/11eeaad8-780d-4fb4-81c7-06e46637a485/5 the whole draw will be based on the ranking, so you can already predict the brackets. (of course late changes are always possible because of late injuries or specific reasons like this) men's 58 and 68 have the highest number with 19 and women's 67kg has the lowest with just 6 which means top 2 seeds only need 1 win to qualify.

Judo dva GS turnira: u Parizu nastupaju Kumric, Matić, Kristo i Sutalo u Baku nastupaju: Puljiz, Oberan, Matić, Prodan, Pavić i Radić. Atletika: važan nastup J. Koscak u petoboju iduci vikend.

  37. I haven't followed the curling mixed doubles competition, but below is an overview of qualification scenarios. Hopefully, I haven't made any mistakes. Group A This is the only group with no-mathematically-qualified teams yet and the only group with four teams still in contention. Remaining matches are Czechia-South Korea, which will be played first and Canada-Great Britain. If you don't want to get confused with text, jump directly to the tables. If Czechia wins, then they qualify and they will be joined by the winner of the other match. If it's Great Britain, then GB wins the group and Czechia finishes second. If it's Canada, then Czechia wins the group and Canada ends up second. To summarise, if Czechia wins. Winner of - / Group Standings 1 2 If South Korea wins, then the winner of Great Britain-Canada certainly wins the group. If Great Britain loses that match, a three way tie between Czechia, Great Britain and South Korea will be created. In this case, South Korea will win the tie with a 2-0 win-loss record in the tie-breaker. If Canada loses that match, a three way tie between Canada, Czechia and South Korea will be created. Win-loss record for all tied teams will be 1-1. In that case qualification will be decided based on draw shot challenge. At the moment, it's South Korea (43.46) ahead of Czechia (48.09) ahead of Canada (59.66). To summarise, if South Korea wins. Winner of - / Group Standings 1 2 DSC (,,) Group B USA and Sweden have both secured their spots in the quarterfinals. US team is undefeated and still has one match to play. They are certainly first as they have won against Sweden, who completed the group with a 4-1 win-loss record. Group C China is the group winner as they are undefeated with one match to play and they have won against Japan and Latvia, both of them having a 3-1 win-loss record. These two teams are facing each other tomorrow, therefore whoever wins gets the second spot. Group D Both teams in the current top two, Germany and Switzerland, have completed their matches and they both have a 4-1 win-loss record. However, as I'll explain thoroughly, only Germany is mathematically qualified. Denmark is in third place with a 3-1 win-loss record and will face Kazakhstan tomorrow. Obviously, if Denmark loses, then Germany and Switzerland are through to the quarterfinals, with the former winning the group, having won the direct match up. If Denmark wins, then a three way tie at a 4-1 win-loss record will be created. In this case, the tie-breaker win-loss record will be 1-1 for all three teams and qualification will come down to draw shot challenge. But as I mentioned above, Germany and Switzerland have completed their matches, which means their current DSC is their final one. Since Germany (31.04) is better than Switzerland (79.90), Germany will definitely finish ahead of Switzerland in this tie. Given that Denmark's current DSC is 37.31, at the moment they also have the upper hand against Switzerland in this scenario.

  42. My team sport predictions with tiers (I prefer doing it this way instead of just handing out G, S & B): I'll put an * next to not already qualified teams (in some cases I'll be considering the chances of two teams that can't both qualify, eg. Slovenia and Greece in men's basketball). These are tiers that grade the teams according to my perception of their chances to win a medal (ANY medal, not just gold). Though if I rate a team in the highest tier ("very likely to win a medal") it also means they're the main gold medal favorite for me. If you see that a qualified team is not included in any tier then it means I believe the medal chances of that team are rather marginal. I opted to skip 3x3 predictions cuz my knowledge is not deep enough (I follow the results but I'm not too aware about roster changes from tournament to tournament and such). Tiers... Tier 1 - Very Likely to win a medal Tier 2 - Likely to win a medal Tier 3 - In contention for a medal Tier 4 - Outside chance of a medal
