It could have been even half a second faster if the French and especially German athlete weren't standing in the way at the last exchange..

I'm proud of our guy Rares Toader, who managed to qualify to the shot put final; it's his first major final at senior level (he is 19 yo and 2 months). He's also qualified for the Olympics, and I see a great future for him if he continues to train the way he does now. Ofc, he's not Bukowiecki (yet :D) but he can be an important contender in shot put for many years...

I'm so sad that Bednarek failed to qualify for final in high jump and by this he lost chance to confirm his quota for Rio
