To be fair FIG has always gave apparatus specialists the short straw, it was only until recently they decided to give them quotas.

Hopefully she lost it....nothing against her at all, but it wouldn't be a good sign if someone gets a medal with 50% of her final having gone wrong

Yes i know. But still not enough quotas. I think 110 in m and w art gymnastics each would be ok

Uhm, great second vault and she wasn't heavily penalised for the frist one.. she have still some chances to win.

Our Sydney Bronze medalist Leszek Blanik couldn’t compete in Athens 2004 as a vault specialist due to this bad quali system. Then he got gold in Beijing

Yuri van Gelder has some nightmares about it as well, like needing to become world champion simply to qualify for the Olympics  

 

Although his never-ending drug use was a bigger issue, admittedly
