Holland had clear finishing issues for the last two years, our commentators say the lack of crosses and playing the ball to the box on the ground was done on purpose as the Dutch must have figured out something watching the group stage. It probably helps England & Wales are classic aerial cross in the box opponents so USA probably focused on that before.
