Dvojitá radosť Adama Hagaru! Opäť zajazdil výborne a získal pre Slovensko miestenku na ZOH 2026 Krasokorčuľovanie je po ľadovom hokeji ďalším športom, v ktorom získali slovenskí športovci istú miestenku na zimné olympijské hry v Miláne a Cortine d’Ampezzo 2026. Miesto v súťaži krasokorčuliarov vybojoval Adam Hagara na majstrovstvách sveta v Bostone. Len tesne, pravdepodobne o necelých 1,5 bodu, resp. 1 miesto unikla v Bostone miestenka Vanese Šelmekovej. Adam Hagara vybojoval miestenku na ZOH 2026 vo štvrtkovom krátkom programe, v ktorom v Bostone figuruje na 18. mieste. Osemnásťročný krasokorčuliar si vybojoval postup do piatkových voľných jázd. Šelmeková obsadila v krátkom programe 26. pozíciu a len tesne nepostúpila do rozhodujúcej časti programu. Hagara získal za svoj krátky program na hudbu Toma Odella Another Love od rozhodcov 78,33 bodu. Zvládol kombináciu trojitého lutza s trojitám toeloopom, trojitého axla i trojitého flipa. „S mojím krátkym programom som veľmi spokojný. Podarilo sa mi dostať do voľných jázd a vybojoval aj miestenku pre Slovensko na zimné olympijské hry. Som veľmi šťastný,“ uviedol Hagara vo videu na facebookovom profile Slovenského krasokorčuliarskeho zväzu. Slovenská krasokorčuliarska jednotka štartuje na svojom štvrtom svetovom šampionáte v kariére, najlepšie umiestnenie dosiahol v roku 2023, keď skončil na 23. priečke. Definitíva s olympijskou miestenkou bude známa až po skončení sobotňajších voľných jázd, ale Slovensko už vďaka Hagarovmu postu do bojov o medaily o ňu nemôže prísť.
