  1. Bloomberg will struggle for the minority vote, at least I would imagine. His “Stop and Frisk” policy was probably the biggest racial disaster in the New York State law enforcement history.
  2. Burjan has officially been suspended for one year by the national federation.
  3. At this point, these are the sports I’ll be at: Canoe Slalom, Football, Handball, Softball, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Archery, Athletics, Taekwondo, Basketball 3x3, Equestrian, Weightlifting, and Rugby Sevens. Looking to get one more sport. Probably either Badminton, Table Tennis, BMX, or Judo.
  4. Fly in: July 21 Sapporo: July 23/23 Tokyo: July 24 - Aug 2 Fly Out: August 3 Layover: Vienna (All Night 6PM-11AM) Fly In: August 4
  5. Yes! Scored some more tickets in today’s sale. Softball prelims (hoping for a USA matchup), but better yet, Taekwondo finals! I’m so happy, I’ve wanted Taekwondo tickets badly. I’ll see the final rounds of the women’s -67Kg and men’s -80kg.
  6. I’ve noticed It’s always great to have more involved users. Are from Israel proper, or do you live elsewhere.
  7. No, but that design mirrors much of neo-African fashion. It shows that Kenya is much more modern (at least in the cities) than people believe.
  8. It sounds like the athletes like it, and it’s a design that better fits Kenya’s culture. The uniform is still red, black, green...just not in the traditional format.
  9. Curious, what are “sports clothes”? Really anything can be athletic wear. I ran a race in my school polo once since I forgot my running top. It was actually comfortable, and I often trained in my polo after that.
  10. Welcome @Dnl! I decided I should probably give you a proper welcome since you seem to be a active user (which we love)
  11. Oh, I really liked it. Clearly I have very different fashion tastes than the users on here. I get tired of the same old boring ass uniforms. Call me when the Dutch don’t wear orange, or the Croatians lose the checkers, and the Japanese the red sun, etc.
  12. Y’all must have some real nice gas station workers where you live
  13. It’s not really that shocking after what I’ve heard about their rhythmic gymnastics program...but it’s still very sad and unfortunate.
  14. I swear my town is full of idiots (both left and right). I just want to live somewhere normal.
  15. Triathlon maybe? I could also be some new Nike tech that would improve athletes aerodynamics. Really love the colors on these uniforms nonetheless.
  16. Jumpers and Rompers are in style rn I will say that I’ve seen numerous skaters wear clothing like the ones represented by the difference nations in that tweet.
  17. Kind of. He had chance at winning a medal, but had a terrible set of races during the games. I think the pressure got to him. He’s rather old, so we’ll see if he’s still around in Beijing. Hopefully he’ll teach a few youngsters when he’s done racing.
  18. I was looking at more photos of the different uniforms Nike released today, and I can say is wow! The athletes are gonna look dope as fuck this summer. The soccer uniforms are awesome (Nigeria again receiving the best uniforms). USA basketball going to back to a retro look. USA podium wear gives a nod to the space industry. All the new shoes look awesome. Nike also unveiled its latest universally available running shoe that some claim will be better than the Vaporfly.
  19. Here’s another look at the Brazilian, American, and French uniforms for Skateboard. I honestly quite like these, but I’ll probably be in the minority as always. Little bit of background on them: https://nylon.com/nike-2020-olympic-skateboard-uniform What do you guys think @bmo @Bohemia @vinipereira @thiago_simoes @Rdbc @Benolympique
  20. I don’t see why. I made myself sick out of a love for what I’m doing. Most journalists work all day. We love what we do. I’d work for the OC for free low key, just to know that I helped people enjoy the games in some fashion. Most journalism work is freelance by the way for those who don’t know. Usually only editors and a few reporters are actually hired by outlets. From what I’ve heard, the money is from writing adverts and press realeases.
