I think his addition of Breaking was quite rushed, but it will be interesting to see if it has the desired affect. E-sports does need to be looked into, sorry, it does. Surfing and Skateboarding were logical additions. I like the gradual reforms he’s made to the YOG. I think he improved the bidding process. I don’t like his cult of personality, but his strong character has been good for image.

I actually don’t dislike Bach. I know, I’m essentially a Satanist on here. However, (and here comes cancel culture for me) I feel like he’s done so much good for the Olympic movement.

I was actually referring to the 2020 Asian Beach Games in November. That’s about all I have left to look forward to this year. However, it’s in a China, so my hopes are low.

Man, I remember when people pegged her as someone who would a gold medal one day. She never really came back from her first big injury. She did actually manage to put it altogether in Pyeongchang, and I was hoping she could better her performance in 2022

You know, I’m not against the “let’s open stuff back up” argument, but I’m completely against the reasoning for it. If the reasoning is to try and save lives by building up herd immunity, great. If your reasoning is because you believe the virus will hurt you politically, or that the economic dangers outweigh the safety of at risk people, then fuck off quite frankly. Trump and and the GOP openly called for millions of people to attend Easter mass in person, and for the elderly to sacrifice themselves for the American economy. It’s completely insane and it’s a real tell of the times we live in. It took the US Congress until today (or late yesterday) to pass a emergency bill for Coronavirus relief funding. The argument was over how we should save the economy. How fucking pathetic is that? This is the problem with electing ineffective leaders everyone. Please stop electing idiots to be the Presidents of your country.

I can’t stress enough that Hantavirus is a well-known/studied virus. I read that human to human transmission is basically impossible. I hate to say this, but this is China bashing at this point. This is just people seizing on an opportunity to scare everyone. We should probably make sure others aren’t getting hantavirus, but from my understanding, there’s nothing to worry about here.

I’m currently being entertained by the elite average games

I wonder what happens to the international sports calendar next year. At this point, I’m only interested in the dates. Personally, I’d prefer October to avoid all the other events, but I know I’m the only who cares about most of the other events that will suffer because of this. I love the Olympics like you guys, but it’s the multi-sports games I really enjoy. So while individual sports move their events, and y’all get a win/win; I end up with a lose/lose I’m a little upset (maybe frustrated is a better word), but that’s life. I was really looking forward to 2021 and it’s 25 multi-sports games, but now I’ll probably have to settle for two years in a row of 1 multi-sport game. Plus, even if all the other games aren’t cancelled, they’ll have the weakest fields in history if their not postponed This is really why I was pulling for 2022. There was more room in my ideal international sports schedule, but I need to remember to “always look on the bright side life!” (dodo, dodo, dodo, dodo ), and remember that I can’t control the uncontrollable in life. I’m still feeling pretty gloomy though. Hopefully my usual upbeat attitude returns soon
