  1. I’ve got a little more than that. Unfortunately I’m lacking evidence at the moment. However, a link to the media outlets cited by @Jur may be enough for me to share what I have (in the form of an article at least).
  2. Peak 2020 right here.
  3. Yeah apparently it’s being transmitted around my sisters friend group, which is just fantastic. Luckily, we’ve kept her away from her friends for about the last two weeks, so hopefully she’s not running around with it. She has chronic kidney disease, so we’d all prefer if she didn’t get it. I’ll be holding out hope for your good health. If you’ve followed the rules and recommendations, you are most likely fine.
  4. #NotBAHGP was pretty good. I quite enjoy sim racing, so that was a good way to kill an hour this morning. My two favorite sim YouTubers we’re both in the field as well, so that helps . You can find a replay on the F1 YouTube channel. Followed that up with the 6th race of Marbula1. Of course that was entertaining, as marble racing always is . My teams are still sucking ass, but an enjoyable race nonetheless. Now, it’s back to downloading PDFs for the 2018 Asian Games, 2015 Pan American Games, and 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games. Most of these come from InternetArchive, so it’s the slowest downloading process in history.
  5. We don’t like to be outdone on leaderboards Well, what can I say We should fly by China within the next week probably. I’d imagine we’ll be the first to reach 100,000, but maybe the Italians will give us some competition. Coronavirus has resurrected the Ford v. Ferrari battle lines
  6. The IOC would be happy to see him gone First the advertising rules, now this I’m hearing that the IOC will wait a further 4 weeks before announcing their decision.
  7. Also, huge fucking shoutout to all the doctors, medical professionals, nurses, etc. on Totallympics. Y’all are heroes. The world doesn’t deserve you, but y’all are helping us anyways. Also, just because your not a medical worker, don’t think you don’t have a part to play in this battle. We win by listening to science, and by doing what’s best for the common good. All of y’all staying at home, avoiding people, and doing everything possible to keep spirits high are just as much warriors in this fight.
  8. Are there any other users, who like me, are trying to avoid reading/listening/watching news about the Coronavirus? This doesn’t mean I’m not heeding warnings, or not listening to professional advice. It just means that I’m trying avoid news about the spread, severity, and state of Covid-19. For me, this has been a “ignorance is bliss” strategy for coping with what’s happening. I’m just curious how others a handling this.
  9. Told you to expect it to get near 10,000. There’s just way too many Americans not taking this seriously, and we haven’t been testing as much as we should. From what I’ve heard/read, our hospitals are already getting near capacity, and it’s still early days for us. We have only us to blame. There’s so much more we could have done, but you know, ‘Murica.
  10. I agree with this entire statement. I apologize for my attitude earlier. We’re good
  11. Say what you want about Nike, or about their athletic policies; their advertising campaigns are unmatched, and a thing of beauty:
  12. Well, SoFi wasn’t ever built for the purpose of hosting the Olympics (though it has been designated and lined up for that purpose now). Public money isn’t spent on the land/stadium, but it will be spent on all the supporting infrastructure in the area. I really don’t know where you got this ridiculous idea that the NCAA are funding anything outside college sports. Kroenke isn’t funding the games either. LA made our bid becuase we were the last Olympic host to successfully turn a profit, and we had the majority of the infrastructure already needed. Of course that’s without mentioning our desirable weather, high rate of freedom, appeal to culture, and large population base. The NCAA isn’t a powerful as you think they are. You know I honestly don’t care what you believe. I’m more pissed off about how constantly just take massive shits on everything. Have you ever made a positive comment on here? Look, I know Poland isn’t rainbows and sunshine, but show some fucking decency every once in a while. I’m not the only user that finds it hard to tolerate your constant negativity either, so don’t act like it’s just a “me” problem. I’ll also make an awesome, kind suggestion for you. How about we talk about the issue this thread is meant to address.
  13. I love when you talk out of your ass. This statement is laughably overdramatic about the Olympics hosting situation in the United States.
  14. You never learned to swim? I haven’t met many people who don’t know how to swim (that live in highly developed countries). I live in a community where every has a pool, and most kids know how to swim right after they learn to walk.
  15. I won’t make any mistakes now because I’m choosing which dogs I want put down, in favor obtaining another cat
  16. I think my issue comes from the “mascots” being dogs. I hate dogs, they are not wonderful/loving cats.
  17. I don’t know, I’m already 19, so I have at least one foot in the grave
  18. Always knew @heywoodu was a sheep shagger...
