  1. 19, not 8. I’m a hot mess (as always) this morning.
  2. World Rugby will be livestreaming old World Cup matches on their Facebook page. The games will be complete with commentary, live blogs, and highlights to make people feel like these are actually current games being played.
  3. The Marblympics (or Marble League as it’s now known due to the IOC) has been a favorite of mine for years. I post about this channel every once in a while, so I’m surprised you haven’t seen it yet.
  4. Well, I’ve been up at 1 lately, so might not be an issue.
  5. I’m here! This started an hour earlier than I though, sorry.
  6. This just in! I’m surrounded by a country of idiots. I mean seriously, how uneducated is our population? How dumb do you have to be to think we’ve handled this well?
  7. Coronavirus serving as a reminder that healthcare isn’t a universal right in the “Land of the Free.”
  8. I’m always around to chat with
  9. Wouldn’t be shocked if the US have one of the worst curves in the world, and if we become the first country to hit 1,000,000 cases. Hopefully we don’t, but I’m not as optimistic as I once was...
  10. Clearly you didn’t see my elbow bump as a good enough indication
  11. I wouldn’t be that shocked if we hit something like 10,000 new cases a day at some point.
  12. A few more countries to add today:
  13. I love that show. There’s so much to explore in that show as a comms major. Plus, the writing and topics discussed are fantastic. I love the music selection too. And really, who doesn’t love the psychology of sex.
  14. I’m usually only appreciate “high-brow” cartoons, but I really like this one:
  15. There’s no solution. It’s a lose/lose issue at this point. There’s already of shortage of hosts, and now very few countries are seeing an economic benefit in the events that they are hosting. More than just World Athletics (no longer IAAF ) will be affected by the Olympics moving. Many smaller, but vital events, will be affected as well, and it would take years for them to recover from this. The problem with moving the World Athletics Championships from Eugene is the amount of money they’ve invested into them. Why would any country to pay to host the championships, upgrade their venues, upgrade their public infrastructure, etc. if there’s no guarantee the events will happen (same goes for potential Olympic hosts). FINA would lose so much money because of that though, and so would the Japanese government. I agree the Universaide might not be affected, but the field of athletes would be weaker than what we’ve seen in the past few editions. World Games wouldn’t be affected athlete wise, but they’d take a huge market hit. The World Games need protection as well, because they are just as vital to international sports as the Olympics (and that’s according to Thomas Bach). There are dozens of sports that require the World Games to stay in operation. Olympics sports have larger and more supportive fan bases, so they could survive a cancellation, but I fear many of the World Games sports couldn’t. I’m not actually sure how much World Athletics, FINA, IJF, etc. need the Olympics. I think they make more physical capital off their markee events, but I could be wrong. I just think there are a lot of negatives that come with postponing the Olympics, and it’s a messy issue. I’m not sure the Olympics can survive cancellation either. There’s just no good options here really.
  16. They should all be fired from the biggest fucking canon into the Pacific Ocean . I will never again support Senator Feinstein.
  17. What a fucking inspiration to us all ?
  18. Honestly that’s the lowest standard ever set for a president, but hopefully.
  19. I don’t know, Biden isn’t exactly out knight in shinning armor, and many liberals are considering voting Green or not voting in protest of his nomination.
  20. No he’s actually maintained that he will not postpone elections no matter what. That’s why he didn’t force states to delay their primaries last week. Look if Covid-19 is still flying around, but elections are happening, his crazies will still go to vote for him. Unfortunately, the rest of us will be forced to vote against him, and there will just be millions of people with the virus I guess.
  21. No, Snooker (pronounced the correct way) is definitely a sport
  22. Oh yes, He’s fucking insane. I’m mean, we’ve always known that, but now he’s watching his presidency go up in flames, and he’s desperate.
