Milano (Santa Giulia) – Posata la prima pietra dell’Arena Olimpica Nella giornata di martedì 28 novembre, è stata posta la prima pietra dell’Arena Olimpica del Palaitalia, una struttura progettata da David Chipperfield destinata ad accogliere le competizioni di hockey su ghiaccio maschile. La struttura, che deve essere completata entro il 2025, è stata oggetto di commenti positivi da parte del sindaco Giuseppe Sala durante la cerimonia di posa della prima pietra. Rispondendo alle domande sulla tempistica di realizzazione, Sala ha affermato con sicurezza: “Deve essere pronta entro il 2025 e, da quello che capiamo fino ad oggi, siamo fiduciosi di poterci riuscire. Capisco la prudenza nell’uso del condizionale, ma io sarei più categorico. Tuttavia, come sempre, le opere si scontrano con costi che spesso superano le previsioni iniziali.” Se sul rispetto dei tempi regna ancora una certa serenità, resta da capire chi si accollerà gli extracosti dovuti all’aumento delle materie prime e alle varie crisi internazionali che hanno portato in alto i prezzi. Non c’è ancora una stima, ma potrebbe esserci un aumento di circa 70 milioni di euro che porterebbero i costi dell’opera da 180 milioni a carico di Cts Eventim, a 250 milioni di euro. «Non è nelle nostre aspettative che sia la comunità milanese a fornire fondi — dice il ceo di Eventim, Klaus Peter Schulenberg — ma stiamo portando avanti delle discussioni fruttuose con il governo». È lo stesso Sala a confermare le parole di Schulenberg: dalle casse di Palazzo Marino non uscirà neanche un euro. «Gli extra-costi sono a carico della società costruttrice e nell’impresa iniziale non dovevano esserci fondi pubblici. Da Milano non potevano arrivare, non abbiamo disponibilità, vediamo se al di là del grande impegno privato il governo potrà collaborare».
