  1. Yep, there you go. I had the Director of Music at Jesus College in mind, my bad.
  2. Obviously But some of those names sound so random and non-memorable, I guess there are easily six billion snooker players called Williams.
  3. Not entirely true, there's still today's PDPA qualifier where three players will get the last tickets. Also, great level in yesterday's women's qualifier
  4. Italians desperately need to brush up on their motorsports knowledge then With Oliveira and A Marquez he was basically seen as the main contender, especially after already being rookie of the year last year. Newcomer in the wider sense, sure, that's acceptable, and I guess unexpected is ok too for people who associate motorsports only with Valentino Rossi and never watch any of the other races For next year's Moto2: Fabio Di Giannantonio, Enea Bastianini, Marco Bezzecchi, Luca Marini and Lorenzo Baldassarri....none of them would be an unexpected world champion, Italy as always has a shitload of riders with title chances in the Moto3 and Moto2
  5. https://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2018/11/26/world/asia/ap-as-india-american-killed.html
  6. Most unexpected? Newcomer? Bagnaia was actually one of the most expected challengers for the world title this year.. Perfectly normal he isn't included in the newcomer category, since he's not a newcomer.
  7. We have a special category for Paralympic sports Diede de Groot (tennis) Jeroen Kampschreur (alpine skiing) Bibian Mentel (snowboarding) Jetze Plat (triathlon and cycling) Dressage team Wheelchair basketball women
  8. And now the Indian government is talking about looking for ways to recover his body I really hope someone there stops that crap and just says "no, we will leave his body there and leave those people alone". Come on, seriously...don't even think about going there and risking the lives of every single person on that island (plus every single person going there)...
  9. With Corey Cadby's withdrawal and Lisa Ashton qualifying, the full field - the largest ever - for the world championships has been announced. https://www.pdc.tv/news/2018/11/25/william-hill-world-championship-field-confirmed
  10. On 2 December the final nominees will be announced in the Netherlands, the award show is on 19 December.
  11. If she was a cyclist I most likely would have known her (unless it's some freestyle urban stuff)
  12. Fitzpatrick and Williams are the only ones I don't know
  13. I have been watching non-stop sports and writing about them for the past 15 hours, I am not feeling like writing down every single moment I remember anymore because my fingers hurt
  14. Matej Toth walking to 50k gold in yet another epic race, Cheick Allah Cissé's epic taekwondo gold by kicking some British dude in the face in literally the last second, awesome taekwondo medal for Niger, Al-Rashidi's trap shooting medal, an eternity after his world titles, Mijain Lopez' epic gold by destroying some Turkish dude in the final....I remember plenty
  15. Yeah I don't blame myself for not knowing any of those Aastrand is a canoeing athlete I see, another sport where I glanced over the results mostly
  16. Badminton is one of those sports where I just glanced over the results quickly
  17. I don't know any of them
  18. Caviezel giving Jansrud one heck of a scare
  19. Fill managed to make like a half turn today, excellent day of work.
  20. Almost impossible choice as always, but I think I'd go for Dumoulin or Herlings for the men's award and Bertens for the women's version.
  21. World Cup in speed skating means nothing, at all It's mostly just to have some sort of regular competition between the championships, at least for the top athletes
  22. Alright, quick break to recover before we go back to Lake Louise
