True The only one I am 100% sure I read for some school thing is The Guns of Navarone which was on a long list of options we could choose from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Guns_of_Navarone_(novel) Oh wait, also Lord of the Flies of which I somehow remember we all found the part about a pig's head on a stick hilarious. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_of_the_Flies Both in English, surely we've had to read something else but I don't really remember
  2. I have never in my life read Edgar Allan Poe

  9. At least this violence of nature was good for something
  10. While Japan is assessing damage of Jebi, the area east of New Orleans is preparing for Gordon's arrival in a few hours. Category 1, so likely to be less catastrophic.
  11. That's surprising from Sputnik News
  12. I do hope Red Bull TV is still streaming it even though it's not World Cup Anyway I want to see it badly, because Lenzerheide It's where my romance officially started last December around the IBU Cup (biathlon) races there
  13. Darts player Kevin McDine is out for two years, cocaine use https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/7177228/kevin-mcdine-banned-cocaine-test-positive/
  14. Or like CNN did from Nigeria to Europe (partially, they got out early). Sadly I'm guessing mostly people in Europe and the US saw that, instead of the people who's safety it's actually about.
  15. Yeah the title is a bit unfortunate. The actual program has an interesting potential though.
  16. This is one of those typical examples where immediately coming up with "racist!" (which is basically what you seem to say) just makes no sense. At all. Read the article.. It actually has the potential to show the hardness of this travel and simply showing that is not racist whatsoever.
  17. Seriously, you go to look at the odds days after this problem first emerged? Odds were already slashed on the first day this sounded like it got serious The main thing in terms of betting now is keeping a very close eye on the team against Wales, if for some magical reason the best players come back and play there, there might be some good value to bet on Denmark in that match (if bookmakers still have the odds of Wales vs an amateur team).
  18. Petilli is out after a hard crash on the face. He stayed like this while receiving medical attention, before being loaded into an ambulance.
  19. And you get a flat tire and you get a flat tire and everyone gets a flat tire!
  20. Just saw a video of the track in Termas de Chillan today....it's almost impossible, but conditions got even worse. The skiing track is simply not consisting of any snow, it's all ice. Stomping on these little ridges in the snow with full power doesn't even break them, they're as hard as rocks. This is not cross-country skiing anymore.
