  1. NC results will be delayed as 4 polling places will be open for 45 minutes more than planned as they opened later.
  2. The house elects the president and the senate elects the vice president. In the house each state would have 1 vote. At the moment it's 26 republican states, 23 democratic and a tied state while republicans are still favourites to keep the lead in this situation.
  3. Not much of a surprise that IHF go for the money, but that should have been Greenland's spot!
  4. I know that it's made for political reasons, but I really do like this cover:
  5. Nice with a bit of positivity!
  6. Not to mention the very clear focus on supporting Loomer.
  7. Nah. Shy Trumpers is a well known theory, not a fact. Really, the numbers from 2016 didn't really show that so much. (Trump was generally overestimated i blue states and underestimated in red) It was about late deciders. Trump won those by a landslide 4 years ago. But it doesn't look like they are as many this year. Polling generally has less undecided/3rd party voters (4-5% nationally compared to 12,5 % on election day 2016). Let us afterall look at the polling averages from 2016. They were generalle pretty correct when it came to Clinton. They underestimated Trump but didn't overestimate her (in fact she ended up higher in several states). Now Biden is generally higher in polling than Clinton, even being above 50 % in Michigan and Wisconsin. Unless people are suddenly saying that they will vote for Biden just to end up voting for Trump, there aren't much "shy Trumpers" to change the direction of the election. We have seen a few bigger misses in polling than what would be needed for Trump this year, but it would be pretty damn big. I'm not calling anything, but I'm having a hard time believing that you'll be right.
  8. Meanwhile in more local news. Yesterday my party had the first round of selections for the election in Aarhus next year. Here I was selected for 5th place meaning that I am set to be one of our main candidates for the election. And this is in what I would call our strongest field in my time where we had 9 candidates for the top 5 spots (including 2 for leading candidate)! On election night it's up to the voters who will be elected meaning that in many ways the position doesn't really matter that much, but the top 5 will be getting the most attention.
  9. No doubt that things are looking very good and even if polling is off by the same as 4 years ago, Biden would end up af 319 electoral votes. Except for Minnesota, Biden is looking better in all batleground states than Clinton did 4 years ago. That really depends on the counting. Florida will surely look more democratic and get tighter as election day votes start ticking in. Meanwhile Pennsylvania will by all means look more republican in the beginning as early voting is only proccesed on election night. Interesting. Who is she? The fact that election rules aren't clear long before the election really is one of the weirdest (and most worrying things) about US elections.
  10. Well. 12 states still pretty much in play in the presidential election with about half a week to go and 10 senate elections looking pretty tight as well (RCP ratings) (though we'll most likely be looking at a runoff in the Georgia special election). That's really gonna be one heck of a election night (and week while the last votes are counted) not to mention that both presidential candidates are certainly preparing to fight for recounts. The polls are looking better for Biden than Clinton at this point, but nothing is over
  11. No doubt, but still expectations are at 150 millions. That's pretty massve comparing to former elections (in % as well)
  12. And 10 other states at more than 80 % of the turnout in 2016. No wonder that a major turnout is expected. We'll be at close to 2/3 of the total turnout just during early voting.
  13. It's not unusual though a lot of countries do have it in the weekend. It's usually Tuesday or Wednesday in Denmark as well.
  14. I would have prefered giving the songs one last go, but no time... My votes have hereby been sent!
  15. Going for the all-nighter as well and taking wednesday off. Can't way to see if the polls are as much off as the right wing people say
  16. Got through the songs for the first time. Have to admit that I'm not all too overwhelmed this time.

  19. Well. It's a pretty normal thing that the party of the president struggle in the midterm (except for Bush the president has lost in at least one chamber in every midterm election since 1934), that's the way the system is. But looking at the map for the 2022 senate elections nothing seems certain. There are some pretty good chances of flipping seats for both parties.

  21. Even without the gold I feel pretty satisfied. We're in a tough period with Sverri seeming like the only real contender (W4 on a good day). Several others showed pretty good progress (Fie Udby getting back to a good level and decent showings from both W2- and M2-). Just missing the M4- back at the level they showed in the beginning. We aren't the strong rowing nation that we used to be (well, the ongoing slaughter of lightweight rowing doesn't help) but things are going the right way again.
  22. Strong Danish day in cycling with Mads' win, a win for Casper Pedersen in Paris-Tours (though it's really not the race it once was) and a 3rd place in the Giro.
  23. The fight for the win not interesting at all, but the battle for the next places was great for all the race.
  24. Some problems with Wloszczowska's timing. Out for a short while but now it's back with her in 8th
  25. Malene Degn slowly moving up the rankings even being one of the riders losing the least in parts of the route. With a bit of luck top 10 could even be within reach!
