I imagine that the relays entry list for the OG should be a done deal now that this is over.

Churandy Martina got told during an interview that he was disqualified....but the same thing (other way around) happened for Bruno Hortelano, who got told during the interview that he won gold instead of silver, this video is perfect
That reporter is crazy. Her Spanish is almost perfect.

According wikipedia Tryc won fight for third place, with unknown result (yet), but according one Polish sport page he isn't qualified because wasn't allowed to this fight by one judge, what is true?

Yuri would be one of the best options after all confusion.....and she need something to build her confidence after few riecent lost matches
omg
Yuri would be great. I'd also favor Jaqueline Renteria. Thing is, the seven chosen to be voted on all deserve it, it just sucks that the NOC managed to make a mess out of something so simple.

why not Nairo or Yuri?
btw will James go?
Nairo wasn't on the selected 7. Back then no one knew if he would go. The road race is the morning after so it would be the same issue as with Jossimar. Yuri was among the 7, and I'd love it it she gets it (same as with any of the others).
Nope. Back in May it was announced James would only go to Copa. Teo and Falcao has publicly said they'd go tho. I don't know about Monaco but if Sporting doesn't want to give permission to the Portuguese I imagine they'd be less inclined to give it to Teo even tho his grandma died last week and he's claiming she asked him to go to the Olympics on her deathbed (This is not a joke, I swear)

it should have been Ibarguen
she will be probably now, but still now sure how voting was fair
Agreed. There are rumours she might refuse. Pajon already said she wanted someone else because she already did it in London. So there's a big chance that after over 200k votes the flagbearer ends up being Gaviria who only got a little over 9k LOL. Huge mess.

yes and probably yes..
well, now Peter Sagan have really to move his ass in Rio and achieve something otherwise the lords of our cycling federation will have a lot to explain
Even if he ends up empty handed they can always claim they raised awareness/interest on the discipline or some other lame excuse like that lol

This is why I hate this "best third" bs. It reminds me of that Paraguay team that was a Copa America runner-up without winning a single game in 2011.

He won the voting and received the flag today from the President, but due to his schedule in Rio his coach already said he won't be at the Opening Ceremony. Ibarguen is expected to step in since she placed second.

COC had the voting audited lol. Full results.

Here it's crashing all the time during the day. As in, in the past hour I've gotten at least 10 screens saying that it can't load the site. (my internet works fine and every other website works fine)
Not just you. Same thing happening to me.

Jossimar Calvo (Gymnastics)
Not sure how smart this is when he has qualification the next day at 10:30 am

138 for (Men's 200 BK)

Jossimar Calvo selected as flagbearer
He had 105.058 votes out of 226.514. I wonder how much of a factor was that he was a lot on the news the last few days of voting after the scare he had by being at the Istambul airport during the terrorist attack. Ibarguen was second and Pajon was third.

so why they accept to work there , why don't they return to their countries??
and you are happy to be in this euro2016 with hooligans ? and in 2020 near Fukushima ?
maybe in Bogota with the FARC organization !!! ??
Because their slave masters took their papers away. It's slavery. And those other issues you mention are troublesome, yes, but not flagrant mockeries of basic human rights. And don't even get me started with the homophobia bullshit (Russia too)
Btw, FARC signed the peace last week and has been kept out of cities for years anyway.

because you want to see this WC in europe , again europe everything europe
most of the fifa members are from europe and they are corrupted
I'm not from Europe and I'm not happy with Qatar either. I don't care about the continent tho, just not having modern day slaves worked to death would be nice.
EDIT: That sounds like I meant that you get to keep your slaves if you're nice to them. Just no slavery, thanks.

Economical reason.. The same of all other golf players that whitdraw
Yep. Tbh, it would really piss me off if he had used zika as an excuse. The stuff he mentions about it it's no different from the goverment warnings (we have it too) but while I don't care if an European or Australian throws Brazil under the bus out of assholery and/or misinformation it would really be a shitty thing for a fellow South American to do. So, at least I can respect he was honest about his reasons unlike some others.

Camilo Villegas pulls out because of zika
Not really. He's considering to pull out because he needs points and going to Rio means missing two PGA tournaments. He did mention zika saying that he knows the risks are minimal but it stills could affect a theoretical baby he and his wife are trying to look for but his PGA card is the main reason by far.

Colombia reaches 143.
Still waiting for a relay and golf, we should come somewhere around 147/148.
