    Mihovil Fantela suffered a freak injury while training for Nations Gold Cup. Apparently he fell on a rudder, and stabbed his spleen in the process. Nations Gold Cup is scheduled to start in 2021, and it's supposed to be some sailing version of FIFA World Cup. Sounds pretentious. Anyway, Fantela brothers will not be able to defend their 49er title in November. Their Olympic preparations suffer a huge blow too, as Mihovil will need months to recover. Sounds like an enormous price to pay for freaking "Nations Gold Cup".

    Edneu Senhorini today became the first Brazilian attempting to score 66% MER since Pan Ams. He scored 60.8% and failed. Next competition with Brazilians appearing on entry list will be Le Mans CDI3* (18-20 October).

    Koala destroys very decent heptathlon with poor javelin throw. I hate how IAAF does not allow universality spots in heptathlon. Koala clearly deserves to take part, however she may as well end up doing just the 100 m hurdles like she did in Rio, because of IAAF's stupid rule.

    Now it's confirmed that quota will not be decided today. Spain can finish no lower than 10th, and that's assuming both Colombia and Italy slot ahead.
