  1. The fight for bronze could get very interesting between the girl from Latvia and Theisen-Eaton.
  2. Horrible result, lets hope that someone stops him.
  3. Expected win for Farah, i just hope that mens 10000 m will be cut soon, no one needs 5000 m and 10000 m. Its always funny to see Farah pretending that he is really exhausted. I understand that the best african runners focus on road racing, but are there really no better african runners ... ? You really have to give credit to Farah, he knows that he would be chanceless against the other african guys in road racing, so he focuses on 5000/10000 m and tries to become a legend there.
  4. I think Ennis should still be pretty safe to win the silver. The fight for bronze could really get interesting.
  5. Why? Harting or Jasinski are super fit, they same is true for most athletes in javelin throw or someone like Storl. I never said that those disciplines should be cut, i just dont want overweight athletes to win. I have absolutely no problem with Adams winning womens shot put.
  6. Yeah or they could think: I dont have to lose weight, because even overweight people can win an olympic gold medal ... and then they will grab some chips.
  7. Oh nooooo ... time for mens 10000 m again, the most boring event every four years, i dont get why this is still an olympic discipline. In mens long jump i hope that Henderson and Manyonga wont win a medal.
  8. I dont care whether he is the most beautiful or most ugly person in the world, i just dont want overweight people to win gold at the olympics. Its not good for a sport and they arent good role models for kids.
  9. Vogel again with her usual mistake. If you are by far the best rider in the final, then you shouldnt be so passive. You have to give credit to Ligtlee, its crazy that someone like her can ride that fast on a bike without a motor, she showed that everyone can become an olympic champion and that should be a huge motivation for many people out there.
  10. Vogel not winning the safe gold in womens keirin really hurt, but i am optimistic that Kerber will get the gold pretty soon, looking at Puig's moustache.
  11. What is your point? So you dislike my behavior and then decide to behave the same? Sorry, i dont get it ... 1) I think there is less doping in shooting than in most other sports. 2) I wont say that you are wrong, its very weird how good our athletes have become in shooting finals, usually they always completely messed up. I think they decided to get help from psychologists a couple of years ago and it seems to help, our athletes already did great at 2014 world championships.
  12. Congrats! I thought that your guy would win the gold, but his first series was too bad with only 2 hits. He is still young enough and should dominate this event in the future. What about mens skeet and mens sprint? Your athletes were/are among the favorites for the medals in those events.
  13. Amazing result for young Salwa Eid Naser (born in 1998), 51.06! Bahrain could have a good relay with Kemarley Brown and Andrew Fisher ...
  14. Congrats to Malachowski, i am sorry for him, he deserved the gold. I am still a bit happy that he didnt win, but not because a german won instead (Harting is a crazy guy and he does a lot of weird things (for example he didnt give any interviews the whole year), but i dont like him very much), but because i dont want people looking like Malachwoski/Carter/Schwanitz/Kovacs to win a gold at the olympics. I guess you dont have to be too sad, you will win at least 2 golds in athletics.
  15. 1) Kovago has been banned before ... 2) I understand you, i also cant believe the progression of Christoph Harting and Jasinski and i would never say that a certain athlete is 100% clean. 3) For me most field athletes are less suspicious than track athletes, because in most events they are far off the world records and we shouldnt forget that most countries dont really care about field events (especially throwing events), so field events are in general less competitive. 4) I guess we will have to wait, 4 years at max.
  16. Yeah ... If you have to compete against GB in a discipline that is 99% about endurance, than you can settle for silver before the start of the competition, its just ridiculous. I guess its just coincidence that they are so good in swimming, team pursuit, triathlon, rowing and long distance running (Radcliffe, Farah) ...
  17. Lets pray that Kovago wont win a medal! #Nomedalsforcheaters
  18. Very interesting article about some new techniques we have seen pretty often in Rio: http://summergames.ap.org/article/brutal-techniques-gentle-judo-rise-olympics
  19. Great match, both teams were fighting for their lifes and i asbolutely love penalties (as long as Germany isnt involved). Its great for the tournament that Brazil is still in but i also wouldnt have minded Australia making the semifinal, because it wouldve meant a pretty safe gold for Canada. Canada might struggle against Brazil in the final (of course assuming that Brazil now makes the final) ...
  20. I think Australia has also been favorite for gold at the past two olympics and they never won, they are absolutely beatable for your team. At least your team didnt throw away a medal by underestimating their opponent, like the german women did against Spain.
  21. Referees from Macedonia are clearly betraying us here. I guess thats what you get when you allow referees from a third-world country. Edit: Now i get it, referees are shit on both sides and maybe they just cant do any better. Whenever an attacking player touches a defender, its immediately a foul.
  22. I agree, so far all of our track and field athletes except for Schäfer, Öser, C. Harting and Klosterhalfen have been disappointing. I am probably a bad fan for saying it, but Klosterhalfen reaching the final would make me happier than any medal Schwanitz ever couldve won and a gold for Krause or Roleder would be more exciting for me than all medals the german throwers could ever win.
  23. The hammer probably heavily touched the cage and barely left it ... the other possibility might be that she slipped and "lost" the hammer, but that seems pretty unlikely.
  24. I absolutely agree, this is ridiculous. I still remember womens 200 breast podium last year. For me medals become less special if half of the athletes in the final get one. Its also completely random to only look at the hundreds of a second, why not also look at the thousands of a second or only at the tenths of a second? If there is a possibility to get a more precise measurement, then it should be used. Why doesnt athlete X, who is one thousandth of a second faster than athlete Y, deserve a "better" medal? In the end this athlete has been faster and showed a better performance ...
  25. Yeah, i know and on the day of the race she was still 42, but she looks like 60 and performs like a 20 year old, so we shouldnt focus on the age that she has in her passport ... Who knows? Maybe Bob Beamon will announce his comeback tomorrow and then will go on to win gold at the next olympics? I honestly wouldnt be surprised to see that happening, there doesnt even seem to be an age limit for american athletes nowadays ...
