  1. Its too funny to see all those american athletes coming out of nowhere to win gold medals, now even some grandpa won a medal in swimming, a couple of days ago a 50 year old won the gold in womens time trial ... If you dont have a problem with someone like Gatlin representing your country, then you probably dont bother about all those crazy improvements by your own athletes. I know that Canadian/Brazilian/American athletes have a huge advantage, because they dont have to adapt to a completely different time zone, but many performances are still impossible to believe.
  2. What? No one expected Schwanitz to beat Adams. With the disgusting performances of many american athletes in Rio, nothing seems to be predictable anymore. I feel so sorry for russian athletes, it must really hurt to sit at home watching american athletes winning medals, although they are at least as dirty. By the way: What was the first gold medal that we lost? Malachowski didnt show anything special in qualification, Christoph should win at least silver and gold isnt out of his reach.
  3. I dont agree about the result ... in my opinion the chinese girl deserved the gold, but it was the correct decision to not give a medal to the girl from Belarus. Could someone please tell me why there were only 16 competitors? I thought that there would be much more participants and its really unfair that some sports only have so few spots at the olympics ... I am very surprised to see that the german girl finished 10th, missing the final by only 0.4 points, but i dont know how big the difference between her and the medallists really is quality-wise ... ? I guess she profited a lot from other participants underperforming, but i am glad that she was able to perform at her best at the most important competition of her life, especially considering the very difficult conditions for german athletes in trampoline. She even had to pay a psychologist with her on money, because the budget for german trampoline athletes was clearly reduced when the german men failed to qualify for the olympics ...
  4. Thats also pretty much how i view it and i am actually a bit shocked to see how desperate she is to win another gold, although the american girls already won the last 3 olympics and the last world cup. You would expect someone with so many titles to be more relaxed about losing and you would hope that they at least are able to respect their opponents.
  5. Two medals should be safe for Germany. Of course i hope that Werth wins an individual gold, but normally Dujardin will win the gold, especially because she gets overscored very often, probably because she is the current olympic champion. Werth would have to perform clearly better then Dujardin if she wants the gold and thats very unlikely, unless Dujardin has a second off-day in a row. I would say that Sprehe has a better chance for bronze than Schneider though ...
  6. Wow amazing results for France. A gold in judo and two silver medals in fencing and archery out of nowhere.
  7. Haha ... i was just dreaming, although we could have a great team in the future with: Weinstein (1994): 2nd at 2016 world championships in the individual pursuit, has a PB of 4:17.775 Kämna (1996): 2014 junior world champion and 3rd at 2015 u23 world championships (less than 2 weeks after his 19th birthday) Appelt (1997): 2015 junior world champion in mens individual time trial and junior world champion in mens individual pursuit (3000 m) with a time 3:15.432 (6 seconds faster than the second place finisher) Your team is far more realistic to fight for gold in the future and i just hope that someone will end the british dominance, it would be even better if a country like Denmark or Italy would be able to do it, so i wish your team a lot of luck and hopefully they will stay injury-free for the next couple of years.
  8. Amazing games for Argentina so far, they are doing much better than anyone ever could have dreamt of. Now Del Potro has to win it all. Nadal and Murray already have the title, so they shouldnt be too sad if Del Potro wins the gold.
  9. I know that the media and most german people dont really care about it, but we got a 5th place in mens team pursuit and a new german record, for me this is much more important than winning a gold in equestrian dressage. If we build a team around Weinstein, Kämna and Appelt, then we cant lose the gold in 2020. So the second gold for GB and the second time with a lot of german help, congrats to Heiko Salzwedel. We really shouldnt give away our know-how so easily. Either british cycling just pays much better or german officials didnt agree with his training methods ...
  10. Great to see that there is at least someone else who sees the truth, you seem to be a very smart guy!
  11. Amazing bronze for Bird-Smith! Very sad for the guy from Brazil ... Linke was really close to a medal, great performance.
  12. Wow, Italy fighting back! I wouldve preferred Zublasing winning gold yesterday, but this is also good. Its sad that Hill didnt win a medal here, but her time will come.
  13. Me too. I cheered for him, because it wouldve been good for my prediction. Very sad for Sun Yang. All those people accusing him of doping obviously really get to him and he wasnt able to prepare in the best possible way.
  14. Like i said many times before: I am convinced that its impossible to win medals in swimming without doping, so i am glad that we dont win anything. Have fun with all those medals and enjoy them as long as you can!
  15. I am glad that there is no german stream for mens race walking, the live results are reading completely ridiculous, this is probably the dirtiest event in the history of sport. I dont even want to imagine GB or Kenya winning gold, i guess athletics is in an even worse state than i thought.
  16. I am so sad for Robert, he deserved this gold. Sadly he got a lumbago (sorry, dont know if its the right word. just used the translator) yesterday when switching out the light ... Hopefully he will continue his career, this is not how he should end his career. He couldve become a legend by defending his gold here, now Christoph has to win the safe gold medal.
  17. Finally a good result, but in the end fencing still lacks diversity.
  18. Now that you have exposed my nonsense (i am sure that you really believe that), you can finally fall asleep, you really seem to need it. Oh wait ... now that i read your comment again i realize that you didnt answer any of my questions and didnt disprove any of my points. You might want to sleep a couple of hours and then try again, but please try better this time, otherwise just save my time and dont write anything. For a start you could post a link to some sources (about the media taking those athletes to charge), its crazy that i have to teach you how to discuss ... Probably you are the Donald Trump here ... its easy to provoke you and you have the very rare ability to write multiple lines of nonesense, without making a single point and without even noticing that you actually didnt prove anything. Edit: Its funny and expected that you dont see anything wrong about the media not being too critical about Froome, Farah or Radcliffe, british media is really cruel ... you really have to feel sorry for all those poor british athletes.
  19. What a shocking loss today, this team is too stupid for a medal. GB in quarterfinals and Netherlands in the semifinal would be much more difficult than Australia and USA.
  20. Maybe Cancellara is doped or maybe not, i dont know and i dont care much, i just cant stand to see countries dominating a sport that is 99% about endurance. I dont really care whether athlete X is doped or not, but i just think that all athletes should have the same chance and if some countries are systematically doping or arent really controlling their athletes, then its just unfair. Am i sure that Gesa Krause is clean? No. Do i hope that she beats Jebet in womens 3000 m SC? Yes and its not about her nationality, for her it just would be much more difficult to dope. In my opinion its less likely that she is doped, so she would be a better winner than Jebet in my opinion.
  21. Yeah thats probably what british people want to believe, your media has been really hard on Radcliffe, Farah, Froome, Ohurougo, Armitstead, Williams and so on ... I am not saying that they are doped (again), but there have been rumours surrounding all of them (those who haven been caught) and your media didnt really seem to bother much to be honest. Its crazy that you really believe all this, considering all we have learned about Dr. Bonar recently. For me there isnt any reason to think that british athletes are cleaner than russian athletes in average. For me every country that is so desperate about success in sport is very suspicous. So could you tell me why your team was so far off at the last 4 world championships and now wins the gold? Winning a medal at world championships is better than not winning anything right? I guess your team was already focusing on the olympics for the past 2 or 3 years ... thats also the reason why you have been winning many medals in other disciplines (womans omnium/team pursuit) and other sports (athletics, swimming, boxing) ... There is absolutely no reason why your team wouldnt have wanted to win a medal at the past 4 world championships, but they just werent good enough to do it. Sorry, but for me there isnt really any point in discussing with you, for me its just too obvious, actually i am even less suspicious about Efimova. Edit: About 2012: Yeah, it was a really poor try be the french team, but they couldnt accuse you of doping, because Bauge had been banned before. I am happy for Hindes (although his cheating in 2012 was extremely embarrassing). He wasnt good enough to make the german team, but now he won his second olympic gold, the british training really seems to work for him ...
  22. Sorry, but your comment was obviously off-topic. You either really want a LIST OF ALL ATHLETES WHO ARE CLEAN in the track cycling thread, which clearly would be off-topic, or you dont really expect me to give you a list, then it would be trolling. Of course people can still do impressive things without me doubting them. I for example celebrated Cancellara here and i will also celebrate Van Niekerk when he wins the 400 m gold. I am just VERY SUSPICIOUS when a country dominates a sport that is 99% about endurance, thats why i am for example very suspicious about dutch speed skating, british cycling or norwegian cross-country skiing. I have no problem with british dominance in general (at least as long as they dont steal any medals from Germany ...), but its just ridiculous that they were miles away from the medals at the last 4 world championships and then suddenly win the gold here, in my opinion it cant get any more obvious. At 2013 world championships they finished 6th (0.7s behind New Zealand), at 2014 world championships they finished 5th (0.6s behind New Zealand), at 2015 world championships they finished 8th (1s behind New Zealand) and at 2016 world championships, just about 5 months ago, they finished 6th with the exact same team (0.5s behind New Zealand). They werent able to get withing 0.5s of New Zealand's time for more than 3 years and now they suddenly beat them and every other nation ... ? Just ridiculous, i am very sorry for New Zealand.
  23. Thats basically what their football coach said. He said something like "Player X is policeman, player Y is teacher and some of those guys dont do anything". They really seem to be pretty relaxed in general.
  24. Rugby shouldnt be an olympic sport, its not diverse enough, Fidji is too dominant.
  25. You have been really unlucky in judo, but your golds in mens c1 and eventing have been more than surprising to be honest.
