  1. I think they should have disqualified Kenny and in the second round probably Eilers, but now Kenny will win gold 100%. If anyone else wins the gold, then i will cry of joy.
  2. Haha ... why dont they just give all the golds to GB before the start? Then we dont have to buy a velodrome and can safe a lot of time and money, this sport is an absolute joke.
  3. Disgusting result in womens discus throw. Gold goes to Perkovic who was caught before. Every medal for a cheater is just horrible for the sport.
  4. Clear disqualification for Ingebrigtsen in heat 2, now i remeber why this family is such an embarrassing joke.
  5. Incredible results for the Netherlands, probably no one thought that they could win so many gold medals, its going absolutely perfectly for them. I think all those surprising medals make up for the results of their mens football national team.
  6. I am shocked to see how empty the stadium always is for final sessions, in addition to that the fans are very unfair. I am actually happy that there are so few competitive brazilian athletes.
  7. He should win gold in the C2 and lets see what he can do in the C1 200 m. I think Tarnovschi is actually from Ukraine? Sad for them, they could easily finish top 10 in medal table, if other countries wouldnt "buy" so many of their athletes. (I dont know why Tarnovschi competes for Moldova now)
  8. So Braz doesnt get tested for one month and then improves his PB by 10 cm? Seems absolutely legit to me, nothing to see here. Murphy improved his PB by almost 3 s this year ... When was the last time that a russian male runner won a middle/long distance medal? Sorry, but the US is dirtier than Russia has ever been and the sad thing is that, unlike Russia, the US wont have to worry about anything, because they just pay too much to be dispensable. I am just happy when those doping games will be over, absolutely disgusting results in almost all disciplines.
  9. I cant even describe how disgusting Cavendish is, what an embarassing athlete, british fans must feel ashamed for him.
  10. Yeah ... Schäfer won bronze last year and no one thought that she could win a medal here. In general almost no competition went as expected, Whitlock also won a gold out of nowhere. Its great to see that even older women like her can win medals in artistic gymnastics and its a great way to end her career.
  11. What a surprising gold medallist! Most surprising gold medallist in olympic history? Like i said: USA wont win uneven bars and balance beam.
  12. Complete disaster for germany in athletics and swimming, without shooting, equestrian and team sports, the medal table would look absolutely shocking for Germany. GB on the other hand cant do anything wrong, this might very well be the luckiest streak in the history of sport. Their results in track cycling are just disgusting, but apart from that you must be happy for them, considering the amount of money they invest.
  13. I am surprised that both german guys could still win a medal. German wrestlers used to be walk-overs, but now they are competitive and no tourists anymore.
  14. Absolutely amazing results for the Netherlands so far, dutch fans must be over the moon. I think they are on the way to their best summer olympics ever.
  15. Many famous people went to university when already being famous, i recall Jodie Foster and Natalie Portman from the back of my head ... In Germany there is also the possibility to study at an university without being physically present, in the US you would probably call it a distance university. Tons of german footballers (for example Oliver Kahn) got a degree after the end of their career, so i think Phelps should also be able to get one (if hes smart/ambitious enough). I honestly hope that he and Bolt will retire and i have no problem to say that i like him, but likewise i have to say that the most important thing for him is to find a new meaning in life, so that he wont get alcohol/drug problems again, i hope that his family will be able to hold him down to earth.
  16. Thiam improved her PB by 300 points in one competition? Yeah ... lol I guess if you look at what Belgium did in taekwondo european qualification event, then nothing they do can surprise you anymore.
  17. He cant do it for the rest of his life and if he wants to get a real job, then he should start to study as soon as possible, otherwise he will only be able to work as an expert or something like that, but maybe he just doesnt have bigger goals. I just hope that he wont announce his retirement again, just to come back one year later. If you retire, then please dont comeback, it just shows that you couldnt find anything else of importance in your life.
  18. Gold for Thiam, silver for Ennis, bronze for Theisen. Quite surprising that neither Ennis-Hill nor Theisen-Eaton could end their olympic career with a gold.
  19. Very interesting progression by Thiam, i noticed that Belgium also became very good in swimming very rapidly, good for them. I also see Belgium winning some medals in taekwondo and maybe hockey.
  20. Hopefully Phelps finally retires now. I just dont get why someone like him cant find an other meaning in life than spending all his time swimming from one side of the pool to the other.
  21. If you look at the results of german athletes in Rio, then you have to believe that there is a god and that he/she is actually evil, a kid or mentally retarded: R. Harting out in qualification, Schwanitz only 6th -> Gold for Reitz, Gold for C. Harting, our mens football team reaches the semifinal -> Vogel only 6th, Kerber loses the final, Holzdeppe out in qualification I cant wait to see what will be next, but my guess is that one of the following things will happen tomorrow: Gold for Seitz in womens uneven bars A medal for Gierisch in womens triple jump Gold for Link or Brodmeier in mens 50 m rifle 3 positions Our womens table tennis team beats Japan Heil/Plößel overtake Burling/Tuke in mens 49er
  22. Gold goes to Henderson with 8.38 m, he is coached by the brother of Jackie Joyner-Kersee Silver goes to Manyonga from South Africa with 8.37 m, he has been banned for doping before Bronze goes to Rutherford with 8.29 m
  23. Yeah, you are probably right, Theisen should win bronze, amazing result for her.
  24. Why are you so focused on Blume? There are many swimmers who are more suspicious ...
  25. Interesting that the girl from Denmark destroyed her PB this week, its always funny when a country is great on the womens side and absolutely shit on the mens side in a sport like swimming. We have had many weird results in all sports this week, i guess many athletes have a problem to adapt to a completely new time zone and the very weird times many finals take place.
