After much deliberation the Irish National Selection process is now complete. I have chosen the alternative rock group The Stunning to represent Ireland in Tunisia for this year's edition of TISC Open. Perhaps little known outside Ireland, The Stunning were formed in Galway in 1987 before initially splitting up in 1994. Haha yes, and Ireland drew all 3 of our group games (Egypt, Netherlands and England), then drew 0-0 with Romania and beating them on penalites, and eventually losing 1-0 to the tournament hosts Italy in the quarter-finals..... no Portuguese-style fairytale sadly .
