  1. Yuuup, I hate air conditioners with a passion. I'm very prone to infections that stem through the throat, that's why I constantly get fucked by air conditioning in cars and why I can't really go out on runs during winter. My entire job rides on the fact that I have to be utterly healthy, because in nearly all aspects of my work, I'm useless if I have throat/voice issues.
  2. My thoughts on pie: apple pie is a legendary classic and you will never eat the same apple pie anywhere, every single person has a different twist on apple pie, especially since you can even use 7500 species of apples for different flavours. I also really started to like Banoffee and I guess anything with berries, because I love desserts with a tang of sourness to them, to cut through the sweet.
  3. On the top of my head, Glow, Cigarette Break, Hard To Do, Nervous, I Miss You (Paddy's Song) comes to mind as my all time faves.
  4. airconditioned room can get you sick easily if you dodge in & out of your home cold shower - you usually immediately start getting sweaty as you get out of your shower to dry off. icy water I can approve
  5. Really depends on which era of Gemma you choose though, and of course what the competition chooses. For example, the UK has the Sam Fender, Coldplay and Harry Styles card over me whenever they feel they want to use it The US could really do wonders if they hit particular songs from Sufjan Stevens, Paramore. Canada with Avril Lavigne and Australia with Troye. Good example would be when you've sent Gavin James, he has such amazing music, but thankfully the song you ended up choosing gave at least a fighting chance for other songs in the contest, because it wasn't my top 10 favourite piece of his
  6. I still strongly believe that's like a top 5 song of all time for me I've covered it myself in numerous gigs throughout the years, when I used to cover other artists. Now I mostly perform originals.
  7. When Lithuania sent performances from Irish-born Lithuanian citizen Erica Jennings, I remember top 10s in our past too. It really works.
  8. On a completely different note. I left the house disgusted with myself for munching on a half a can of Pringles, didn't feel good, wanted to focus on eating healthy again. Even considered to throw it away as a statement. But after coming back home and devouring 5 tangerines, I destroyed the other half of the can and I hate myself again
  9. Yup, religion influences politics in Lithuania soooo hard. One of my biggest gripes as well, because so many social and human rights issues are swept under the rug, because half of Lithuania feels like "normal" families are under threat, because the gays are coming to steal all of their children in order to molest them and turn them gay. Four large political parties are on the side of these bigots and they're probably going to be elected in 2025. Our current president often times supported all these hate groups throughout the last 4 years.
  10. I was really scared when I saw how overwhelmingly impactful the topic of religion is in the United States. I've watched this Youtube video recently discussing LGBT and the conversation was completely derailed by Catholicism. Here in Lithuania, older generation is religious mostly, but I personally don't know anybody going to church on a Sunday. Although, Catholicism is really used as a scapegoat to hate on all of the minorities in the country, because people don't want to take accountability of their own hateful feelings/thoughts and choose to hide behind the 'Bible said so'... It's really annoying how you can be an absolute awful prick just because of your religious beliefs.
  11. Wow, all of the Lithuanian points right now are just a gold, a silver, a bronze, a fourth place and an eleventh. Funny how five juries amount to 44 points But huge thanks to USA and @Olympian1010 with @dezbee2008 for this nice surprise
  12. You know it's going to be another bad year when there are already no points from Italy, Moldova, Denmark and France Thank you to Brazil and Romania though!
  13. Well, it's actually a word in Lithuanian with which we would refer to a Macedonian citizen - makedonas or makedonietis.
  14. Gonna be more than 20 at the end of the day, i'm sure Though slight surprise with no points from Italy.
  15. It was the first time that Lithuania has had a lead in TISC after our win nearly a decade ago Thank you @justony
  16. I got my templates. I'm leaving home though for like 6-ish hours, but should be back in time for my lovely 3 A.M. timeslot
  17. Well, Lithuanians today were quite slow, but we're in the top 20 I guess? Don't know what to expect from this season, to be honest. Probably going to be the Strolia show all over again. If Leščinskaitė didn't retire, we would have had a women's relay, our first one after Rasimovičiūtė's retirement. But alas, there'll only be three World cup level women from us, since junior Kresik is out as well and Urumova is not going to be quick enough to get below 150 points.
  18. 3 A.M. is literally the only time I have free time these days This voting space actually makes it possible for me to be there It's very often that I stay up to 2 or 3, because it's my time to chill and nobody contacts me for shit.
  19. Well, it's been 10 years and of course it's the 20th edition of TISC that I'm going to completely miss every single minute of it for the first time Unless it's miraculously pushed to Sunday :S
