  1. For sure it's the same artist, but I'm not 100% certain if it's the same song.
  2. Plus we can add Turkey to the mix, as their user also contacted me and said that Turkey would participate.
  3. It's almost as if Canada and USA planned to post their songs nearly at the same time
  4. I assumed you would say that, but it has absolutely nothing to do with outside games. The song is an outdated Dima Bilan version with expensive special effects. The song itself has no soul and is about nothing. The cheesiness of the lyrics by far exceeds the amount of cheese that I put on my pasta and nothing should have more cheese than my pasta. Plus, it only got so much televotes, because it's Russia. I can guarantee you that if Great Britain sent this exact performance, they would finish in the middle of the scoreboard at best (Basically following the results throughout the years, Russia has continuously sent terrible songs that always managed to place in the top 10). So, long story short, I don't hate Russia, I hate their approach to music and since I'm that passionate towards music, no one would ever be able to convince me that Russia was better than Australia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Croatia, Belgium, The Netherlands, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, France, Spain, Malta, Armenia. All of those countries had both better vocalists and better songs, but couldn't spend that much money on glitter.
  5. Russia was not the real winner. Perhaps Australia, but definitely not Russia.
  6. Not much time has left to present your song in the competition to avoid disqualification by default.
  7. If you notice any mistakes with the link of your entry song in the first post, please let me know
  8. Well, I'm truly excited that Romania decided to join the party. Have a great contest
  9. So many new songs today, you're keeping me on my toes Good thing I'm sick atm, so I can have this thread opened on my tabs 24/7
  10. The Totallympics Open International Song Contest 2016 Lithuania Official Logo Has Been Revealed! The official logo represents both the national Lithuania's flags colours and the way that champions are greeted when they come back home after their victory in a competition. Yellow: It symbolises the trophy of the winner Green: Laurel leaves that symbolise the champion, usually the champions are greeted with garlands made from Laurel's or Oak leaves. Red: Symbolises the flower, because when the champions come back home they are often showered with flowers. And last, but not least, what brings this whole competition together is of course our love for music. Thanks to Vinipereira for being amazing and making my vision a reality
  11. Wonderful news! We've reached 30 participants, welcome to the contest, Czech Republic
  12. We're very glad that Malta is continuing the trend of participation in TISC, welcome
  13. This week is pretty much awful for me, which might be the case why I'm not that present in this topic at the moment. We already had one case earlier this week if someone can send a song that belongs to two nations, so me and OlympicIRL resolved it with having the person that wants to use the song contact the jury members of that nation to get their permission. So if Dezbee has nothing against Mexico using this song, it should be perfectly fine, as it is in the end of the day at least 50% heritage of Mexico.
  14. Who should I send Agger, who should I send??? I have this duet that sing a beautiful, calming song. Then I have this woman, which has a song in Lithuanian and then I have this, oh who am I kidding, we don't have anymore artists from earlier than 2010
  15. I should have known that more than two sentences would be a challenge.
  16. I'm truly sorry that life does not work exactly the way you want it to work. You have to understand that not everyone is here simply to entertain you. Everyone works at their own pace, everyone has different selection processes and there are still two good weeks until the deadline. For example, it's becoming boring for me that you complain about everything, because now it has become predictable. Now because I'm bored of your attitude, it does not mean that you'll stop complaining. It's the same that if you're bored that people don't post songs, that does not mean that they'll start posting them. Have a nice day
  17. Well, he read my message, so I did everything that's in my power and now it's him that has to decide if he wants to participate or not
  18. It was basically me writing to them: "Hey, perhaps you're interested in music? You are? Great! Maybe you're interested in sports as well? Uhm, no? Okay then" The best part used to be trying to explain to them what the competition even is "This is something like Eurovision, but the whole world is included and it's on a much smaller scale." This also reminds me of the times when I actually contacted some of the Lithuanian representatives to inform them how well they did and I probably only confused them. It's kinda weird now, because I run in to them occasionally at events and gigs.
