  1. All 6 of Canada's medalists at Tokyo came into this event with an injury, nursing an injury or were injured here...so really had no expectations. I honestly thought Canada would have the disaster of 0 medals like in 2017....but 4 medals and a top 6 placement overall is a strong performance. Gotta feel for the women's 4x400 relay who seem to finish 4th at every major event lol.

  11. Some qualification news: MP: 33 per gender, including the winner of Cali 2021. THe 2022 Pan Am Championships in October will allocate all the remaining quotas. Baseball: Chile/Colombia (Cali 2021 winner) qualified. The winner of the South American Championships, starting in 3 days will qualify, along with the 2023 CAC winners. The top 4 in the "Americas Series" next year will also qualify.
