  1. lol I had no idea this even started . Only prompted by a post about Ukraine's team
  2. Small is a big small Bingham is not registered for nationals, and tbh i think she is retired.
  3. Here are the scenarios for Women to qualify via ranking 100m: Sade McCreath: Needs to get an increase of minimum 60 points, she can do this by finishing in the top 2 at Nationals and a time of 11.21 (unlikely she finishes first, so will need that time or better) 200m: Jacqueline Madogo; needs 15 or more points. With a top 2 finish at nationals, she would easily get this (second place is 80 points, and would replace the 15 points for ranking in her lowest score) 400m: 3 in top 48; Konrad has the last spot, but Price is fourth and the better performing athlete. Price will need a win at nationals and a time 51.42 (her SB) 800m: Shukla + Rynda in top 48; but in the bottom three positions. They will need top 2 finishes at nationals with a time below 2:02 to cement their spots. 1500m: Two in top 45; Third place Current cannot qualify unless she finishes first at nationals and a time of 4:04.05 or less (below her PB 5000m: Regan Yee is in the quotas, but i dont think she will race it. Staehli/Scott/Debeus Stafford are just outside (45 and 48 for the first 2). 42 will qualify. Satehli is injured and will not qualify. Scott's performance at the HJ's will bump her to within 15~ points of a quota. If she can replicated her performance at nationals she would qualify. 10,000 N/A 110m hurdles: No one else can qualify besides Abdul-Rashid/Harrison 400m hurdles: No Sutherland at nationals, which opens it up for Walker/Overholt. If Overholt wins with a time around 56 seconds she will easily be in the top 40. Will wait for next weeks rankings to comment on Walker. 3000m steeplechase: Unlikely a third qualifies (after Mcabe and Yee). Fetherstonhaugh will need a huge PB to even move up Heptathlon: Looks bleak, only one athlete stands a remote change of qualifying: Sienna Macdonald will need to basically hit the entry standard to qualify. First time since 2004 no Canadians will be in the field. Ill do the field events tomorrow. @Josh will do the men's events.
  4. 15:17.48 for Gabriela Debues-Stafford at the Harry Jerome!
  5. My mistake, didn't realize his PB in Edmonton wasn't in the Road to Paris yet. That will get him 1222 points, which would remove 1161 (his lowest score). This will increase his score by 12 points overall too 1206. Putting him in a tie for 43 (not including this past week's results for other athletes). So with a PB at nationals it would overtake the 40th place athlete. Its really close for him!
  6. I did calculations and it appears almost impossible for Thorne to be in the top 40 at the end of rankings Unless he has another race before nationals and gets a PB
  7. He is 'only' .37 away from the qualification standard (based on his first race). Hopefully he can hit the standard at that event or nationals.
  8. Sage Walker with a SB of just under 56 seconds! Should get her big ranking points as this was at the NACAC meeting in Nasau
  9. Isabella HOLMGREN with another win at the U23 World Cup; and by over a minute. Dare I say she might be a darkhorse for a medal in Paris
  10. Interesting how different confederation have different formats. NORCECA will be using one team per country.
  11. http://www.bvbinfo.com/Tournament.asp?ID=4435 Teams for the final NORCECA qualifier. (For women, just change the tournament in the drop down menu) With respect to the rest of the field, Canada should be the strong favorites to qualify in both tournaments. Anything short of a win in both tournaments would be a disaster.
  12. Oh each country has 2 teams ? Interesting
  13. Nope. 4 cities bid in total and the IOC chose them. Gaborone, Tunis and Abuja.
  14. Yup. Meanwhile Baseball 5 and Wushu are on the actual program It was a mistake going to Africa. there have been so many changes to accommodate Senegal.
  15. Wait till you hear what they will do with these sports Sports on the engagement program (so the dropped sports) will also have the opportunity to establish a significant presence at the YOG, with these sports being showcased through various activities on the ground and on the various Olympic online platforms, promoting them as integral parts of the YOG Dakar 2026.
  16. The men's archery team flopped. Sigh. Hoping all the failures in qualification means successes in Paris
  17. Canoe, golf, field hockey, karate, modern pentathlon, shooting, sport climbing, surfing, tennis and weightlifting have essentially been dropped from the 2026 Youth Olympic program.
  18. Looking at entries for nationals https://www.trackie.com/entry-list/bell-track-field-trials/1005153/ No Bingham, Bichoka, Justyn Knight, Ellenwood or Ostertag. Presumably their Paris hopes are done.
  19. Rule of thumb is divide your medal chances by 3 and you will get a ballpark figure of medals won
  20. I believe the non WNBA players are at this camp fwiw
  21. Yea. We might be in jeopardy of being under 300 now
