    Wow in a complete shock, Argentina is eliminated in the group stage of the Women's Pan American Junior Championships. Argentina has won 7/8 editions of the tournament and was the defending World Champion, now won't even qualify for the tournament.

    Hopefully neither tbh. Commonwealth Games are pretty much a dead event after 2022 and there is no "need' for WOG in Canada atm.

    Realistically only 3 can host in North America atm, and two just hosted within the last 10 years + USA busy with 2028 and possibly a SLC winter bid. Interest would be lukewarm. Though rumours were Montreal were interested, but I guess not.

    I don't think it had anything to do with money. She found her calling in life and decided to pursue it.... ofc it might seem weird to us but to her it was the right decision.

    Let's not forget Graeme Fish in the 5,000/10,000 m in speed skating If the NHL players play, a medal in hockey is almost a must, even gold. 3/5 times NHL players played Canada won gold. Short track speed skating worries me, the team struggled for a lack of a better word at the last worlds, and we can't rely on Hamelin to lead a team, he is likely at his last games. Hoping they can develop, its been a couple years, so maybe they have indeed.

    Sadly the track and field venue from Toronto 2015 was removed, and that venue was important for many stars like Pierce Lepage etc. Meanwhile, I sent an email to all the commonwealth sports and only Cycling and Judo replied. Sadly most NFs in Canada are hard to reach.

    Cycling Canada has 14 slots. Id suspect: Endurance men: 4 slots Endurance women: 4 slots Sprint men: 1 spot Sprint women: 3 spots Mountain biking: 1 in each men and women. No road cycling specific quotas.
