No one noticed that Kathinka von Deichmann became first ever tennis player from  to play in GS singles main draw.  She won all three matches in qualifications without dropping a set.

    Lisa Carrington's dominance is over?

Btw, Dorota Borowska only started canoeing 5 years ago at age 17 so it's quite an achievement for her to get a medal here!

I voted YES but only because this is a traditional sport and not because of AIBA. I'm agree with all of you who say that AIBA must change...and there are a lot of changes to do... (personally I don't think this federation will be changed soon, same for scoring rules, unfortunatly).

Well, I am just guessing. They've made baseball5 for some reason. This thing is a joke, because there's no even a bat nor pitcher, but it needs no much space, just 8 players in team and is made with thoughts of making it an urban sport. I also think it's a terrible idea, in opposition to other urban sports like 3x3 basketball, but IOC likes terrible ideas. Also it's easier to develope baseball5 than that existing co-ed slowpitch softball which is very little popular and needs more money.

If that joke of a sport that is baseball5 ever makes it to the Olympics I am done.

Mexico's Suzannah Brookshire today: only run against the  Netherlands (on a wild pitch) and only run against  New Zealand (home run).

Also Dallas Escobedo's pitching today: 2 complete games, 14 innings, 232 pitch count, 21 strikeouts, 0,57 WHIP. WOW

    Archery: 1 man, 1 women - 2

    Artistic Swimming:

Athletics: approx. 60 but I don't really understand this new qualification system - where can I find the explanation of it?

Badminton: one player in each singles competition and two doubles - 6

    Baseball: 0

Basketball: 0 - which is very very sad, I would love to see men's team in the olympics, they played in 1980 last time

    Beach Volleyball: 2 men pairs, 1 female - 6

    Boxing: 1 woman, 1 man - 2

    Canoeing - Slalom: K1 M, C1 M, K1 W - 3

Canoeing - Sprint: a lot of them - 10 at least

    Cycling - BMX: 0

    Cycling - Mountain Bike: 2 women, 1 man - 3

    Cycling - Road: 4 men, 3 women - 7

    Cycling - Track: app. 8

    Diving: 1 men

    Equestrian: 1 place in eventing

Fencing: one team, and few individuals - 6

    Field Hockey: 0

    Football: 0

    Golf: 0

    Gymnastics - Artistic: 1 female

    Gymnastics - Rhythmic: 1 female

    Gymnastics - Trampoline: 0

Handball: 0 - which is very sad because men's team was in the semis in Rio

    Judo: 3 men, 3 women - 6

    Karate: 3

    Modern Pentathlon: 2 female, 1 man - 3

    Rowing: a lot - sth like 20

    Rugby Sevens: 0

    Sailing: 10

    Shooting: 5

    Skateboarding: 0

    Softball: 0

Sport Climbing: 1 - one man

    Surfing: 0

Swimming: 12-18, it all depends how many relays we can qualify

Table Tennis: both teams can make it - 6

    Taekwondo: 1 male, 1 female - 2

Tennis: Agnieszka Radwańska is slowly finishing her career, I'm not even sure she's gonna play in Tokyo, but if she does - then 1 more woman in singles, 1 man in singles, and some doubles players - all together sth like 7

    Triathlon: 1 man, 1 female - 2

    Volleyball: men team - 12

    Water Polo: 0

Weightlifting: 3 men, 3 female - 6 - or 0 because we don't make it due to doping cases , and to be honest - I don't really care

    Wrestling: 3 women, 3 freestyle men, 3 greco-roman - 9

All together: 227 - which is a bit less than I wrote here before (250) - but maybe some other team sports can make it? Women's volleyball and handball especially - 227 + 24 = 251. But it's wishful thinking I'm afraid

:-) To byłoby moje marzenie. Pozdrawiam serdecznie. RG

      Archery: 4 / 2 / 0              Our "federation" will probably ruin it.

    Artistic Swimming: 0 / 0 / 0           It barely exists here.

    Athletics: 80 / 70 / 50              We're European powerhouse.

    Badminton: 4 / 2 / 1             Someone will surely qualify, but that's it.

Baseball: 0 / 0 / 0               It would be great if our boys will qualify for the European Championships, but the our are not too big.

    Basketball: 4 / 4 / 0          It would be an upset i our men's 3x3 team won't qualify.

    Beach Volleyball: 8 / 4 / 2           We have some good pairs.

    Boxing: 3 / 2 / 1             Again, someone should make it.

    Canoeing - Slalom: 4 / 2 / 1            Hard to say atm.

    Canoeing - Sprint: 15 / 12 / 10          There will be some medal chances.

    Cycling - BMX: 0 / 0 / 0               It's a surprise if someone from Poland starts in a professional international competition.

    Cycling - Mountain Bike: 5 / 3 / 2         We are 2nd in the women's ranking atm and 9th at men's.

    Cycling - Road: 8 / 6 / 5             Simiralry to Rio Olympics (7 were there).

Cycling - Track: 12 / 10 / 8          Should be more than in Rio (8 were there), we have some talents.

    Diving: 0 / 0 / 0           Maybe in Paris.

    Equestrian: 3 / 1 / 0       We're left with memories.

    Fencing: 8 / 6 / 4         Women's epee or foil team should make it.

    Field Hockey: 0 / 0 / 0      Hardly any chances.

Football: 18 / 0 / 0        Men's team has some (but very small) chances, while women's team is already eliminated.

Golf: 1 / 0 / 0             Maybe Adrian Meronk will be able to qualify.

    Gymnastics - Artistic: 2 / 1 / 0         Someone in women's events should make it.

Gymnastics - Rhythmic: 0 / 0 / 0        The group did quite well at European Champs, but it's still not enough.

    Gymnastics - Trampoline: 0 / 0 / 0            No way.

Handball: 12 / 0 / 0           The men's team is in the biggest slump ever and the only way for them to qualify is to be win European Championsips, but maybe women's one would make it.

    Judo: 6 / 4 / 3          Not more than a team.

Karate: 3 / 2 / 1          Those qoutas are small, but someone should make it.

    Modern Pentathlon: 4 / 3 / 2         Probably 2 in women's and 1 man.

    Rowing: 30 / 28 / 24                  There will be medals.

Rugby Sevens: 0 / 0 / 0           Our teams are not bad, but not good enough.

Sailing: 15 / 10 / 5            Should be better than in Rio. I see chances for full quota.

    Shooting: 7 / 5 / 3           Simirarly to Rio (5 were there).

Skateboarding: 1 / 1 / 0        Amelia Brodka should make it in park, as she's an European Champion.

Softball: 0 / 0 / 0                  Our team is able to qualify for the OQT but this is an absolute maximum.

Sport Climbing: 2 / 1 / 0         We have specialists in speed, but I think someone will be able to qualify for the combined.

Surfing: 0 / 0 / 0         Two guys in this country do it, but they're not good enough.

    Swimming: 22 / 18 / 14       Maybe a bit less than in Rio (there were 20).

Table Tennis: 6 / 6 / 4     Probably both teams as in Rio.

Taekwondo: 6 / 4 / 2        Should be better than in Rio (2 men were there).

Tennis: 8 / 5 / 3            Probably 1 man in singles and pair in doubles and 2 women in singles and pair in doubles. So someone will start in mixed as always.

    Triathlon: 2 / 1 / 0       Probably one woman.

    Volleyball: 12 / 12 / 0            Men's team should make it.

    Water Polo: 0 / 0 / 0            We're just weak.

    Weightlifting: 5 / 4 / 3                Don't care because doping btw...

    Wrestling: 11 / 9 / 7             Little more than in Rio (8 were there).

    Total Sports: 33 / 30 / 22

Optimistic Total Athletes: 331 (most ever, 306 were at Moscow 1980)

Realistic Total Athletes: 238 (5 less than in Rio)

Pessimistic Total Athletes: 155 (fewest since Seoul 1988 - 143)
