  1. Feagaiga Stowers won the overall women's title of OWF Oceania Cup with 276kg.. Except for a couple of errors looked she was well within herself in both snatch and especially C&J . Should be able to reach 280-290 soon after a long break from the sport.
  2. That could be a possibility but by then she'll be 35. There are high chances she returns to wbbl cricket for Brisbane Heat. The league lasts around 2 and a half to 3 months once a year which she has been part before ,played 9 games. She may only be limited to wbbl and possibly QLD at Club cricket which isn't a very hectic league at all.
  3. So the Olympic silver medallists Chinese were actually a pair of fuckin cheaters. A much harsher ban should have been imposed and much earlier. They shouldn't have been allowed to participate in Olympics at all last year! https://bwfbadminton.com/news-single/2022/03/25/integrity-ruling-against-four-chinese-players/
  4. No no I didn't get offended. If something is happening wrong it will be told be it Kashmir OR Tibet OR Xinjiang. I don't believe in blame game but it fascinates me how people don't speak the truth. I assume that would be harsh on you if Chinese government would find out since I heard they track all privacy
  5. Ok I can't stop laughing over this. I'm pretty sure it has to be some sort of Pakistani hand in this fake conference.. And well look who's talking about it 😂
  6. Here is where she comes from Coorg (Kodagu)
  7. So in the first place J&K had something called Article 370 which was like a separate constitution only applicable to its residents. People of other states couldn't buy land while students of J&K got scholarships in private schools and colleges and many other special features. The maharaja (local ruler), Hari Singh, initially wanted Kashmir to become independent - but in October 1947 chose to join India, in return for its help against an invasion of tribesmen from Pakistan. A war erupted and India approached the United Nations asking it to intervene. The United Nations recommended holding a plebiscite to settle the question of whether the state would join India or Pakistan. However the two countries could not agree to a deal to demilitarise the region before the referendum could be held. In July 1949, India and Pakistan signed an agreement to establish a ceasefire line as recommended by the UN and the region became divided So I believe removing article 370 was the best thing, it's discriminatory and unfair to other Indians. Pakistan has been trying to put it's false propoganda that many Kashmiris are being killed everyday and so on.. Pakistan has been stirring the unrest by backing separatist militants in Kashmir. Kashmir is proud of it's skiers , shooters, kickboxers, cricketers and rythmic gymnastics, with the latter being biggest powerhouse at national Rythmic Gymnastics at all junior and senior levels. Coming back to the topic I don't want to be supporting any false propoganda OR make a false claim. I'll gracefully accept the freedom of speech and expression may not be the best in Kashmir and the central government can do much better. There is a thin line between civilians and Pakistani backed militants and terrorists and every week there is a news of militants, terrorist injured It's pretty bad that it has to happen and I genuinely hope the Indian politics rises above religion politics and we have a stronger parties focusing on development, the ruling party has to go and things could improve. Moreover there must be few amendments in Special Armed Forces Act 1958 in J&K. Still there is no mass killing, no genocides, no supression of identity, no forced abortions ,no Sterrilization rules. If you are leaving a peaceful life no one is going to kill you or force you to do something.
  8. That sure must be big thing and maybe celebrated across China just like the chinese celebrate human rights abuses against those Tibetans be it in forced abortion, Sterrilization, physical and sexual abuse, genocides etc. So much so that Koeyang Chi, the Tibetian who is now the Olympic Champion in women's 20k doesn't exist anymore. Even her identity has been snubbed and made chinese to Qieyang Shijie just like entire Tibet population whose identity is supressed. More about it https://www.phayul.com/2021/08/07/45964/
  9. I'm from Karnataka and it doesn't snow anywhere in the state. I assume she may have been to some European OR North American country sometime in life to even know about the sport. Unless your in army and posted in J&K you wouldn't have an idea about the sport or get any chance to practice
  10. So after the highs of Oman with so many medals to Singapore lows (just QFs) though the best of the best field came there. So back in Middle East in Doha it's Sharath Kamal in semis after beating Tomislav Pucar in straight games. Will face the chinese in semis. In the XD it's the first finals of the year for Manika/Sathiyan : Manika/Sathiyan v Cheng I Ching/Lin Yun Ju Great semis yesterday going the full distance against Doo Hoi Kem and Wong Chun Ting of Hong Kong
  11. All England Open Champions Fikri and Maulana out in Rd1 losing to Satwik /Chirag
  12. So time for the Swiss Open! Guess WD finals will be Stoeva sisters vs Kittitharakul / Prajongjai OR Aimsaard sisters OR Treesa/Gayathri MS Axelsen winner v Antonsen runners up WS Busanan / Gilmour v Supanida / Sindhu MD and XD is a bit open
  13. There won't be central govt guarantee anyhow so no worries for India who want to invest more on grass roots. IOA has been trying hard though but building a games from scratch doesn't make sense in it's shortlisted cities of Bhubaneshwar, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad. All these have a few stadiums that's it and hosting a YOG is possible but not OG
  14. https://www.google.com/amp/s/olympics.nbcsports.com/2021/01/19/weightlifting-doping-nijat-rahimov/amp/ It took 1 year + 2 months to announce the ban formally.
  15. I was thinking of a break to these polls and predictions afresh from early 2023s .We can have currently happening events ' polls instead on the day of finals or something . So by something like March 2023 we can return to Olympic Prediction !
  16. This is exciting. I hope they have the downhill and super G in Switzerland ,technical alpine events in Montenegro, Combined events in France, speed skating in Austria, Short Track in Hungary and so on
  17. None of them are realistically expected expected to do well. Most of them are 20-23 which is a bit late considering the best players always achieve something before 20 (Saina QF Beijing 2008 at 18, Sindhu World champs medallist at 17, Lakshya at 20) MD they are elder / same age as Satwik but nothing impressive. Doubles has time usually but if they aint improving next 2-3 years it'll be very useful WD not at all a great pair WS again you have to be early. Unnati Hooda at 14 and Tasnim Mir at 16 have realistic chances.
  18. Panda had an issue with the coach in PGBA so shifted to PPBA. Now there isn't any good partner for Crasto in WD meaning she's only focusing on XD with Ishaan, who is not even half as good as Satwik despite being almost the same age. If she's not getting a strong and powerful jump smasher she's going no where in XD either now.
  19. Meanwhile upcoming pair of Crasto-Panda are non existent now. Both will look for new partners in different academies.
  20. What a day for Japan X3 G, 1 each for Indonesia and Denmark. Good tournament, lots of suprises! Wonder if there is a option of exchanging match results , maybe lakshya would want today's result to get exchanged with last weeks German Open semis when he beat Axelsen !
  21. I'll go with Ahsan / Setiawan Matsuyama/Shida and for XD
  22. Lakshya into the finals v Axelsen what a mouthwatering final Fantastic tournament for teenagers Treesa / Gayathri ,promoted from the reserves, reaching the semis ,first ever doubles semifinalist at All England. Treesa might revolutionize world badminton in women's doubles with her powerful jump smashes. Can hold their head high despite the loss yesterday coming through the quarter of world silver medallist and olympic champions to make it to the semis
  23. World no 1s Bas - Popor losing to faimiliar foe Higashino / Watanabe just like the Olympic Quarters
