Then had Pakistan in all sorts of trouble for 10 overs after which they played well. It did not look like a newcomer at all and it will give them a boost to reach the next stage, would be a fairy tale story as the sport is a new one and they grown it well in schools and colleges. Zimbabwe meanwhile were bowled out for 25 runs against England. Indonesia managed a hard earned 74 against New Zealand with Ayu Kurnia (13runs including 2 fours) and Gek Ulan(16 runs) showing some resistance.

I think having moguls,dual moguls and aerials would have been better. They don't even have any event until end of the most which coincidentally is in Canada followed by US. Some of the events are going to be pretty boring. NC, slopestyle etc don't fascinate me even with 30 or 100 entries way too boring.

It's time for the first ever Women's U19 World Cup !!

So schools and colleges have been given holidays in Odisha where the world cup is being held. The hockey fever is gripping the state with people, media all talking about it as even holiday has been given on occasion opening ceremony. Outside Odisha, and hockey hubs of Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, people don't really care about the world cup. Most Indians don't know the world cup is being held in India or know even 1 hockey player in current squad.

Personally I love Bhubaneswar, it's a pity I don't have time to watch the matches. The venue in Rourkela is good but logistically very difficult to reach. Just 1 flight per day from Delhi and Bhubaneswar to Rourkela is quite some distance by bus/train with flights not available to visitors.

Two days left for the start !! The tickets for the Indian matches have been sold out.

Oh well what a race!! I was missing Sola and Alimbekava for this WC and Lampic was the only reason I was excited for today hoping for top 10 or top20. But from Stina Nilsson i was unsure if I am expecting way too much. But yeah after supporting Lampic for cross country skiing it's now time to support her in biathlon. It just makes the world cup more exciting. Lampic will make up for Belarussian absence partly. Hopefully Finland or some other nation can add more spice even a quarter of what Russia used to do would be fine
