  1. Maria Andrejczyk with a massive throw of 71.40m in women's javelin throw at the European Throwing Cup. It's a massive PB with an improvement of over 4 meters of her previous one. It's the 7th longest throw ever in women's javelin with the current javelin model. Only Olisdeilys Menendez and Barbora Spotakova has thrown longer. She is also only the third ever female javelin thrower to throw over 71m with the current javelin model. https://liveresults.european-athletics.com/en/results/athletics/result-women-s-javelin-throw-fnl-a00100-.htm Edit: @rafalgorka We had the same thoughts at the same time.

  5. Yes indeed. Laura Smulders looked a bit absent yesterday, but today her starts were much better. Her younger sister Merel became 4th today, enough for her to qualify for Tokio. Laura Smulders, Merel Smulders and Judi Baauw will represent at the Games. Niek Kimmann showed some signs of recovery. In the semifinal his start was phenomenal, but in the final he did not get off to a good start. Surprisingly he still finished third.

  6. Yes I think he is, he is currently 9th. in fact 8th because two Russians are above him. (and we know at least China will be removed from this weight, probably more) on paper it's still possible if bunch of guys lift extraordinary weights in Colombia and surpass him but in reality that's almost impossible. I can say he is 100% safe.

  10. yes you are right. thanks for correcting me I was wondering why some of them are in green and that was the first thing came to my mind just because I knew few of them are still in the list. I was checking the regulation and those in Green are not going to win a medal. this is just a qualification tournament for them. that's why all athletes in green are in the Olympic list. because otherwise they had no reason to participate here

  11. Yeah, I'm afraid so. I hope Elsa Garcia recovers in time. She could make things a lot more interesting. But she needed time to polish her skills and being injured seriously affects her chances of improving her execution. I strongly believe one of the women's quotas is going to . Rebeca Andrade is very strong right now, and Jade Barbosa, Christal Bezerra and Lorrane Santos have enough potential to qualify even if something bad happens. The other quota will probably either go to Magistrati or Lopez. I have no idea how Lopez is doing, so I bet Magistrati will get it. Even if Lopez is back to her old form, Magistrati could very well give her a run for her money. I hope we can add Elsa Garcia to this picture.

  18. stat list for the World Junior Championship https://www.iwf.net/e-entry/grid_entry_list/ I assume athletes in Green are still active in the Olympic qualification list. @rybak this is probably surprising for you but Bartlomiej ADAMUS in that world juniors list has a very good chance to qualify for the Olympics. he is currently 34th in the ranking but only 4 weightlifters are between him and the European Quota. and he will surpass all 4 of them if he lifts 371kg (that was his record at the European Championships) actually he only needs 365kg for that. and maybe even 347kg (which is a very very low record) does the job for him if Russia and Albania elect to send different weightlifters (very likely)

  21. SLOVAK ROAD TO TOKYO 2020 - SLOVENSKÁ CESTA DO TOKIA 2020 24th Qualified Athlete Monika ŠKÁCHOVÁ - CANOEING SLALOM (C1 W) Slovenský vodný slalom s kompletným počtom miesteniek Monika Škáchová si vybojovala miestenku do Tokia, no finále na ME jej tesne ušlo Monika Škáchová Slovensko napokon predsa len bude mať na olympijských hrách v japonskom Tokiu zastúpenie vo všetkých disciplínach a kvalifikovalo štyri lode v súťažiach vo vodnom slalome. Slovenská vodná slalomárka Monika Škáchová vybojovala miestenku na olympijské hry v Tokiu. V nedeľnom semifinále C1 na ME v Ivrei jej na to stačilo jedenáste miesto. Postup do finále jej ušiel o 0,91 sekundy. Druhá Slovenka Zuzana Paňková skončila na 19. priečke. Škáchová mala štyri trestné sekundy a hoci držala postupovú priečku až do poslednej chvíle, napokon jej tesne ušla.

  22. Not anymore. There were few of them in the past, but nowadays it is impossible to be equally competitive in both C and K. W C1 is still a terrible joke which does not belong to the Olympics. Removing a great discipline like the C2 to replace it by this nonsense was just shameful decision. And yes that stupid 1 boat per NOC rule is extremely bad and yes definitely winning the European Championships and World Championships is much much much more difficult than winning Olympic gold. This sadly apply for many other sports as well.

  30. very impressive quota for Kuosmanen yes he won his QF and SF both 1-1. but I don't think that was intentional. impressive because he was probably 30kg lighter than his opponents. I have to repeat again that he is a 97kg wrestler but since Finland already qualified Savolainen in that weight he had no other option to try his chance at 130kg. this is interesting that both talented Finnish wrestlers are in the same weight !

  32. Have to wait the result of Doha Stage in June. If he wins the championship and scores more than 15.333 then he will receive the quota directly. Otherwise he has to wait wild card or some other specialized qualification procedure.

  34. Except no Democrats were prosecuted in the Trump era. The right accepts political opposition. The left criminalises it. Same in Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Israel and France, where prominent political figures all face criminal charges at the hands of the left-controlled magistrature.
