First results are out. 61.905 People attended the first day of the Pilot testing in the 4 Northern counties with 180.000 inhabitants, so 1/3 of the population ! and this was Friday, there still the whole weekend to come. people stood in long queues for testing also in the evening. The stations closed at 20:00 and will reopen tomorrow morning at 08:00 again. Meanwhile, from the 61.905 tested 2.225 are positive and were send to 10 days home quarantine. The negative persons will be retested once again during next weekend Nationwide 1st testing wave again. So now just imagine the amount from the whole country. Next weekend numbers will be really interesting... Insane pictures. I can not even imagine the next weekend
  6. So, the show started this morning at 8:00 AM in the 4 northern counties of the Orava region (Dolný Kubín, Námestovo and Tvrdošín Districts) + the North-Eatsren district of Bardejov. With total 180.000 population. Remember this is a pilot (kinda Test event) for the next 2 weekends Nationwide testing. The testing is the whole weekend from Friday to Sunday, every day from 08:00 to 20:00 by Surnames Alphabetical order and here some pics how it looks from this morning. People waiting for their turn Then people show their ID Cards and fullfil a document before entering the testing station and after fullfiling a document they enter the testing station (Voting station) After the test, people wait for the result in the results waiting zones This is the document you´ll receive after the test. The negative one is what you are aiming for, without this document you have to stay at home quarantine for 10 days, showing up in public without this document will mean 1659 EUR fine and one bonus for the landscape admirers. People waiting for the test in the Oravský Podzámok village under the famous Orava Castle known for some movies like Nosferatu
  7. and I forgot to add, from Saturday until the 1st official testing finish, so until Sunday 1st Nov. We will be in a mild-lockdown. The exception from the curfew being from 1 AM to 5 AM ! Because, obviously even vampyres has to eat I swear, sometimes I think I´m living in Matrix https://spectator.sme.sk/c/22516817/curfew-and-closed-schools-slovakia-goes-into-a-mild-lockdown-this-weekend.html
  8. The Army forces are moving to the northern counties where the state will perform from tomorrows morning the pilot phase of the nationwide testing. This morning also a plane from landed with the first portion of tests intended for next week's nationwide 1st testing. The other portions will arrive during this week. In total it is 13.000.000 tests the country bought for this biggest operation in the history of Slovakia.
  9. Fresh updates on the prepared nationwide testing in Slovakia. Everyone should be tested two times, this is the reason why the testing will occur in two consecutive weekends 30.10-01.11 and 06.11-08.11 The tesing will be voluntary, however not attending will means automatically 10 days home quarantine. Every negative person will get a document, showing in the public in the next 10 days without it will cost you a fine of 1569 EUR. Very likely the Police will be allowed to perform the controls on the streets and roads. Tests will be provided also at all our borders points ! Everyone entering the country during those weekends will have to pass the test - even the Truck drivers. “Everyone who will be in Slovakia on these two weekends is invited to take the test at the expense of Slovakia,” said PM Igor Matovič (OĽaNO), adding that foreigners living in Slovakia are also welcomed. Gonna be fun and one notice, if you are looking for a job. here one for you: 7 EUR per hour + 20 EUR per positive sample in the district Call on medical workers Health Minister Marek Krajčí (OĽaNO) called on medical staff who will want to help with the testing to register at the Korona.gov.sk website. They will need about 20,000 medical workers, he specified, adding that they will be paid €7 per hour, and those who will take the sampling will get €20 per positive case in their district. “We will need hundreds to thousands of the medical workers,” Krajčí said. “I would like to ask them to participate and stand on the barricades.” The Testing schedule will be as follows Pilot (test) event in the north of the country (Counties of the Orava region, Námestovo, Tvrdošín, Dolný Kubín and Bardejov) Friday 23.10. : 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-20:00 Saturday 24.10. : 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-20:00 Sunday 25.10. : 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-20:00 1st Official Testing Friday 30.10. : 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-20:00 Saturday 31.10. : 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-20:00 Sunday 01.11. : 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-20:00 Re-testing Friday 06.11. : 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-20:00 Saturday 07.11. : 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-20:00 Sunday 08.11. : 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-20:00
  10. Episode 3 is out. Freaking HDMI Jedna and epic scene with Putin shirt
  11. and we have a couple of new fresh informations for the followers of the popular soap-opera After meeting with the president of the country (she was strictly against the idea of mandatory testing) our PM agreed complied and the governement then announced that the Nationwide testing will not be mandatory but only optional...BUT... ! However, not taking part to the testing will mean automatically 10 days forced home quarantine ! There will be mass nationwide testing of everyone (Slovak citizens and foreigners living and working in the country) in Slovakia using rapid antigen tests. It will not be compulsory, but after the test, everyone will receive an official confirmation (still not known which exactly, hopefully, it will not be some sort of weird bracelet or someting like that - however, anyone found in the public without such confirmation in the next 10 days will be fined ! (remember for not using mask the fine is 1659 EUR so just to say) So it essentially imposes a 10-day quarantine on anyone not willing to take part to the nationwide testing - so that people who don't go outside anyway don't have to get tested. Children below the age of 10 are exempt as well. 20000 medical personal will be needed, med students are encouraged to help. Army will organize the effort with 5000 testing locations, it will happen on Oct 30/Nov 1 and Nov 6-8. Swipe from deep in the nose, then 15-20 minutes wait for results on the spot. Pilot project this week 23-25 Oct in some chosen areas in the northern counties to test feasibility. People will get a date and time of their testing based on the first letter of their surname
  12. The only IIHF World Championship program tournament of the year, the M U20 Top Division tournament will be held in Canada in a special "bubble" and withut spectators in Edmonton... and we already know the schedule.... 14. and it is Štefan Tarkovič who will temporarily coach the national team in the next 3 matches, including the most important of them the EURO Play-Off final in Belfast. If he´ll succeed, there some real chances he´ll get a full time contract. 47 years old Tarkovič was long time assistant (5 and half years) of Ján Kozák with whom they qualfied the country to the EURO in France 2016 and advanced even from the preliminary round there. During their era Slovakia played clearly the most sympathetic football in its history and experienced a very long streak of 9 winning consecutive games (SVK Historic record), (the team under them won for example also matches against Spain or Germany) which catapulted Slovakia into the top 20 of the FIFA World ranking.
  15. So in the next days every inhabitant (not only citizens but also foreigners living or working in Slovakia) will receive information about time and place of their testing (both through SMS and via information letter from their respective city/village hall). Basically like it was already announced, in their respective voting station It should work by (surname) alphabetical order. The person will arrive to the station at the precise date and time, show his/her ID card, pass the test and will be placed in a special waiting place for the next 15-20 minutes then should receive his/her result in a closed envelope so only the tested person and the medical staff who will provide the test will know the result. If you are negative, it is fine, if you are positive, you´ll be send to home quarantine and you´ll find also all the instructions on the envelope what you have to do during your home quarantine. In every station there will be soldiers, police officers and medical staff (only the medical staff will be allowed to provide the test) Almost all medical staff (doctors, nurses, students) who will not have a hospital service on the day of the testing are/will be called for this operation. All residents of the country should be tested, except children under the age of 10, people in retirement homes and social services (they will be tested directly in these facilities), as well as patients and medical staff in hospitals (they will be tested directly in hospitals) and the elderly or immobile people (they will be tested by a mobile patrol that comes to their home) In the next day(s) it will be announced if the testng will be mandatory or just voluntarily (and if yes, then if these people will be sanctioned in some way...there were some rumors that who will not be tested will automatically lose some benefits like receiving only basic health care in the future for example...) However the governement expect and wish at least 80% attendance. The testing will occur in three consecutive weekends, already this weekend (Friday 23.10-Sunday 25.10) in the 4 most touched north counties with around 180.000 inhabitants will be sort of pilot test event and in the next 2 weekends (Friday 30.10- Sunday 01.11 and Friday 06.11 - Sunday 08.11 in all the remaining cities and villages of the country... Yes, weird, unique, unconventional ? in one word, Slovaks. Go and figure

  18. Our GM Miro Šatan announced today that the Canadian Craig Ramsay will stay as coach of SVK national team also for the next year, his main task/job/mission remaining the same to qualify the country to the Beijing WOG. the deal will include a special clause if he´ll succeed, he´ll coach the team also at the Olympics the next year regardless of other circumstances.
