  1. 1. hopes the testing and subsequent placing of positive people into isolation will help reverse the current trend where we are seeing a record-high daily increases in new cases. The experts recommended 2 weeks ago only 1 thing. Total and full 3 weeks national lockdown. The PM and governement decided to try one last attempt a mild lockdown and a nation wide testing in 2 consecutive weekends. 2. Is it to discover the biggest possible amount of asymptomatic pacients. and place them into isolation to not spread the virus. 3. The next weekend should be scheduled the retesting of all negatives from this weekend (for example The all negatives from the 4 most touched northern districts that had last weekend the trial round) are now retested and the next weekend will be tested for third time Hope this will help to answer your question, if you want to know more I suggest you to follow this site in english https://spectator.sme.sk/c/22523203/nationwide-testing-for-covid-19-launched.html
  2. First numbers (1/4) are out. 1st morning until 12:00 : 828.518 Tested people !!! 7.947 Positive
  3. Heard last week pilot trial event story about two Argentine tourists came to Slovakia, when they noticed people standing in lines here and there and found out about the free nationwide testing, they decided to join. unfortunately... both were positive so to say about a trip
  4. First 1/4 is over. Attendance look just impressive. Long, very very long fronts of people standing infront of all testing stations. We don´t have the official numbers so far, the Minister of Defence announced he´ll have a more detailed press conference around 16:00, with probably the morning numbers... Pictures from the morning "Drive in" Testing station in Dunajská Streda, this is some 3km from the station at the local Aquapark one of the stations in the City of Pezinok People in queue in the small city of Bernolákovo (suburb of the capital Bratislava) Bratislava ha more than 150 testing stations. with basically in all of them there queues like in this one Roma Ghetto in the suburb of the city Trebišov and some more
  5. So, the show officially started some 2 hours ago. Obviously some troubles like and mainly the lack of medics in some places caused complications, some testing stations did not open in time, but the army is dealing with it and by eight o'clock this morning apparently 91% of the stations were open. They claim that during the morning all stations will be open and ready as schedulled. However since early morning today Crazy queues are forming all over Slovakia from the west to east, from north to south of the country, in every city and almost all villages (The smaller villages with less inhabitants will have only 1 testing day, they were allowed to select if today or tommorow) One special "Drive-In" testing station in Bratislava (people of the capitals, they are all the same everywhere I swear) few pics from Košice
  6. I just received instructions. my time is sunday 1st November between 9:30 and 12:00. If it doesn't suit me, I can come to pass the test at any time on Saturday or Sunday between 07:00 and 22:00, but if possible, it would be ideal to follow the exact individual schedule. So on Sunday between 9:30 and 12:00, I have a choice between 5 test stations within my part of the city, but it is recommended to choose the closest to the house. Testing is voluntary, but non-participation automatically means a mandatory 10 days of quarantine. children under 10 do not have to participate. The testing is not recommended for people over the age of 65, but if they do not come for the test, they must stay at home for 10 days. so if they know that they'll or can not be at home for 10 days, they have to come to the test. In case of a negative test, I will receive a certificate with my data on the spot on non - counterfeit printed paper. which I will always have to carry with me. The police are authorized to perform controls on streets and roads. if I do not have it with me in public, I face a fine of 1659 Euros. In case of a positive test, I must go to the home quarantine immediately together with all persons sharing the household for 10 days.
  7. the plane transporting the tests from Seoul, which will be used for the weekend nationwide testing of the population, landed for the 3rd time in Bratislava this week. today's delivery contained 3.5 million tests stored in 4,701 boxes with a total weight of 66,886 kg. Now the country should have around 10 million of tests prepared for distribution to all cca 5.000 Testing station across the whole country. The country is still looking for medics and health professionals. they have enough staff to cover all the testing stations already, but they would like to increase the number, it would help speed up the whole process, more doctors testing the same time in same station, will ensure that long queues will not be formed. They looked also for medical staff help from abroad. 7 EUR per hour and 20 EUR per positive case + food. Anyone interested ?

  14. Confirmed ! the central crisis staff decided on holding the nationwide testing the following weekend, but, Unlike the original plans, it will take place only 2 days on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1. More details on the testing should be presented tomorrow on October 27 during a special press conference. However, Every sampling site should absorb about 35 people per hour to be able to test in 2 days the all 5.4 million of Slovakia inhabitants Moreover, Slovakia is also in talks with other countries who could provide material or personnel if needed https://spectator.sme.sk/c/22519343/nationwide-testing-confirmed-for-this-weekend.html
  15. Final results of the Pilot (Trial) event. 140.945 People passed the test with 5.594 Positive. so 3,97% of the tested population in the 4 mentioned districts. Apparently 91 % of the population of these districts took part in this trial event (The whole population, deducting children under 10 years old, prisoners, residents of nursing or social services homes, patients and medical staff in hospitals and others is cca 155.000) Now on to the Nationwide Testing mayhem. More details should be known later today. So far we are working with the option of Mass Testing 1st phase during the upcomming weekend from Friday 30th October to Sunday 1st Novemeber (Always from 08:00 to 20:00) in cca 5.000 Testing stations across the whole country (Basically almost all voting stations of the country) with small villages with smaller amount of population being tested only in 1 single day. All in all, that´s going to be an interesting and crazy weekend. Clearly, the biggest logistical operation in the history of the country
  16. that video always gets me on my knees. always, it always works. Instead of miles there's kilos
  17. So the Results of today are out. 59.613 people has been tested today during the Pilot (Test) testing in 4 districts of the country with 2.207 Positive cases. So in total with yesterday it is 121.518 inhabitants of the mentioned districts (Population of 180.000) and 4.432 Positive Cases so 3,62 % of its population. Tomorrow is scheduled there the last day of this pilot event, again from 08:00 to 20:00. To explain you, we are speaking still about only 4 districts this weekend! . to have a better idea, you can see them in the north of the map NO - Námestovo DK - Dolný Kubín TS - Tvrdošín and in north-east BJ - Bardejov So just imagine the Mayhem that will happen next weekend, when the whole 79 districts of the country will be tested at once (Bratislava alone with its half milion population) ! This will be something Pics from the evening session
  18. It must be a blessing feeling to be a fan of Venlo
