rybak 3,222 Posted April 9 #797 Share Posted April 9 Angelika Cichocka (athletics, 800/1500m) announced her retirement today at age of 36. I'm sad that she never made a final race at Olympics and not win medal at Outdoor World Championships, she was one of best runners ever who never succeed to have a medal at the biggest events, mainly because often injuries. And it's just beginning of the wave when our best athletes will announce retirement before/after Olympics this year Also Zofia Noceti-Klepacka (windsurfing), silver medalist of London Olympics and multiple medalists of World Championships and European Championships announced the same decision like Angelika two days ago, though she will yet compete in few more events this year.
