Just woke up to very conflicted news from a USA perspective. The crash is already the top of every news feed. Vonn is, more than any other athlete, the biggest focus of the pre-coverage. I knew this was a likely outcome but not like that. 

 

Insane to see the news and turn on the feed and see another airlift.
 

But good for Breezy that the torch of USA downhill doesn’t get snuffed with that crash. That’s a vital win.

Are the medals for these outdoor sports now given out at the competition venue itself?

 

I remember there used to be a kind of plaza where they handed out the medals, or am I mistaken?
