  1. Tour de France 2018

And now, I tend to beleive that ASO move was only PR knowing perfectly well he was going to be cleared. Fuck that sport, really.
  2. Tour de France 2018

Fuck ! Fuck. https://lequipe.fr/Cyclisme-sur-route/Actualites/Christopher-froome-blanchi-pour-son-controle-anormal/918042 Froome cleared. Edit UCI's statement: http://www.uci.ch/pressreleases/uci-statement-anti-doping-proceedings-involving-christopher-froome/
  3. Tour de France 2018

It's not complete enough anyway. Is it just an UCI race ? What about ASO and other sponsors ? We agree it's a men's race, fine. But are they binary ? Cisgender ? And the date ? 2018 , ok . But is it BC or AD ? Very confusing.
  4. Tour de France 2018

Oh, look, a fantastic original first post
  5. Tour de France 2018

If Froome doesn't take part, Sky will GTFO too IMO. If anything, by pure hubris.
  6. Tour de France 2018

If Froome is out, this could indeed turn to be an epic Tour. Leaders of relative equal strenght and no team do demolish the field In the meantime...

  8. Tour de France 2018

https://lemonde.fr/tour-de-france/article/2018/07/01/christopher-froome-ecarte-du-tour-de-france-par-les-organisateurs-l-equipe-sky-fait-appel_5323956_1616918.html Apparently ASO has banned Froome to take part of the TDF... If you don't care about soccer, this will become your favorite TV show for the days to come. Sky has allready appealed it, and the case will be reviewed by french NOC tuesday (the decision should be announced the day after). There shouldn't be enough time for the CAS to review it by the start of the Tour. Sky : " We are confident that Chris will take part as we know he has done nothing wrong" . Yeah, right.

  10. Men's Football FIFA World Cup 2018

Emotions enough for a world cup. That's all I asked for, thank you guys
  11. Summer Youth Olympic Games 2018

To show everyone how retarded this rule of chosing one team sport is ?
  12. Roller Sports Discussion Thread

Don't want to waste your party, but not really, a minor sport (and rink hockey is defintly minor in Italy) will tend to shine in minor towns. That goes for any sport, probably everywhere . 50K is a rather good standard for an european top rink hockey club .
  13. Mediterranean Games 2018

Is it any wonder that these events still get some cities bidding for them. The financial loss might be substantial.
  14. Men's Football FIFA World Cup 2018

    What an incredible positive song.
  15. Also used in french (not very common). Much more common, is the use of the word "fanny" when a team or someone is scoreless in a game or a tournament. The origins of the expression are rather nebulous, but it has been popularised through the world of pétanque of the early XXth century when the losing team had "to kiss fanny ass" as some kind of a punishment. Nowadays, It's used in sports as in everyday life. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embrasser_Fanny
  16. Same in french: 'panier' (litteral translation of basket) is used when someone scores. The term 'basket' is commonly used to name the sport when basketball connoisseurs tend to prefer to use the full term of 'basketball' (in a kind of 'I'm better than you' way )
  17. Ice Hockey 2017 - 2018 Discussion Thread

Apparently, it's all been paid by the hungarian government...
  18. Ice Hockey 2017 - 2018 Discussion Thread

Both combined or each ? In any case (and no offense to the slovak league) that seems quite expensive...
  19. 2026 Winter Olympic Games

Yes, it had (except for the speed skating thing). I don't believe Switzerland could had a better bid tbh. It's more that possible that we will never see a swiss bid ever again...
  20. 2026 Winter Olympic Games

I'd say that if any (western) european city makes it to the final candidate stage, they will have it in the bag. The thing is, I don't believe anymore that a western european bid will survive so far (Sion was my best hope).
  21. 2026 Winter Olympic Games

And now, Sion is gooooone too. https://www.lematin.ch/suisse/Sion-2026-c-est-non-aux-JO/story/14427188 So no olympic speed skating in the Netherldands I guess
  22. Doping Cases and Bans Thread (2018)

Sooo... don't answer the doping agents, claim yout bell is broken and walk free ? She should copyright it, she 'd make more with that than with her tennis's carrer. On other news, l'Equipe had acces to the letter that Russia sent to WADA which is a basically a confess that inded shit was going on in Russia and that the McLaren Repport findings were right. (In french). A moment of thought for the ones (here and elesewhere) that was claiming this to be only an anti-russia conspiracy run by rabbic russophobes. In Memoriam.

Him tweeting against Morocco 2026 is the best possible lobby in favor of Marocco 2026.

It's pure decorum. A grotesque decorum that's it.
