    If you factor the overall cost of the olympics, it's really nothing. No one is going anymore to build a permanent 20,000 seaters softball stadium when there is not a single softball team in the country.

    With temporary venues, the cost of hosting a specific sport shouldn't rank too high (and in an ideal world souldn't matter at all). I think the 'sportability' of each discipline should count also. Except for the obious Squash and Karate, it's hard to see any of these sports making the permanent jump to the Olympics tbh.
