mixed feelings for Italy in the Skeet events...

 

week to forget as soon as possible for Chiara Cainero and Diana Bacosi in the women's division, hopefully just a bad day at the office for Gabriele Rossetti among the men...

 

but definitely a great day for Tammaro Cassandro, who won the men's event and kept our Flag waiving high in Osijek...

4th place for our 20 year old Emmanouela Katzouraki in the women's skeet. Not a bad result. We have a bunch of young shooters coming up it seems (like Chatzitsakiroglou who was 6th in the men's trap at the recent European Championships in his first competition at the men's level). We had one shooter in Beijing, three in London, two in Rio and will have two in Tokyo. I think in Paris we could possibly have 5-6 even!

Horrible week for India ......

 

The shocker for me is the continued bad form of the rifle team ......

 

A bad run which started in delhi continued with no medals ....including two events where we would have said in 2019 should be sure medals ...women's 10m and mixed pairs ....ela anjum and apurvi  did not make finals in 10m women ....

 

 

Only the pistol shooters were on track 3 medals in the 5 Olympic events .... Only rahi flew the Indian colors high with a gold and close to world record in finals ....

Better to struggle here than Olympics
