  1. And he did an excellent job in the B division today.
  2. And yet they are standing higher than Germany in the group standings. First place, even.
  3. Aren't they asking for 8 years? I don't see anywhere yet that it's a final verdict or something. It'd be awesome news, but I'm waiting with celebrating yet
  4. Call the police, we agree on something #TeamGalaxy
  5. Be that as it may, the rules are clear: 'Winning nation', not 'Winning user'.
  6. Only the Apple fanboys
  7. Winning nation, not winning user. Stop it if you're not able to read.
  8. If I'm not mistaken, I can not make that choice. TISC Grand Maester @OlympicIRL? If the choice was mine, it'd be pretty easy, since I already have a host in mind.
  9. For our friends with special needs: No TAISC 2020 hosted by the Netherlands --> the process of finding a new host can start TOISC 2020 hosted by the Netherlands
  10. -Announcement- The Totallympics International Song Contest Jury representing the Kingdom of the Netherlands has decided to withdraw from hosting the 2020 Totallympics Annual International Song Contest. After the incredible success at the recent 2019 Totallympics Open Internatonal Song Contest, which was won by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a situation arose where said Kingdom found itself in the possession of the hosting rights for both the 2020 Totallympics Annual International Song Contest and the 2020 Totallympics Open International Song Contest. This led to an unfortunate situation where tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets in order to press for one of the two sets of hosting rights to be stripped away. To illustrate, the Totallympics International Song Contest Jury representing the Kingdom of the Netherlands has added some material about said protests, which you'll find attached in the spoiler following this paragraph. The Totallympics International Song Contest Jury representing the Kingdom of the Netherlands is made up of god-fearing people. As one can see in one of the added pieces above, there is a male human figure with a rather scary looking beard. Also, when one takes a close look, one can see a person smoking a cigarette. Since beard-wearing - and possibly omnipotent and divine - figures possess a certain kind of danger, and the Jury does not want a cancer-bringing cigarette smoker getting too close, the Jury has decided to step down from hosting the 2020 Totallympics Annual International Song Contest. Those hosting rights were awarded after the winner of the 2019 Totallympics Annual International Song Contest declined hosting a Totallympics International Song Contest for a record 498th time, while the hosting rights for the 2020 Totallympics Open International Song Contest were actually earned by the Totallympics International Song Contest Jury representing the Kingdom of the Netherlands by virtue of winning the 2019 Totallympics Open International Song Contest. The Jury hopes this will settle down the unrest and bring back peace. -End of announcement-
  11. People who are against same-sex marriage have never in the history of the world been able to give only one semi-decent argument about it other than either "But the Bible!!" or "Because it's gross!". Don't even bother.
  12. They (the journalists, people who do it for a living) might know the game they play, they don't always stick to the rules themselves though.
  13. Those are different lines though. And both suck. Just as badly as journalists being attacked.
  14. Without lawyers we'd live in a world where nobody would get their fair process. "Sure, killers can go to jail, I don't care." Until you're the one accused of something you know you did not do. A few weeks ago a lawyer was shot and killed on the street here, which crossed an entirely new line that had not yet been crossed here. It is a very, very dangerous one.
  15. To be fair, any politician (or journalist, or lawyer and so on) being shot is generally bad, be it a head of state or a 'minor' one.
  16. I consider myself lucky I have way more opportunities the generation* before me did. *as far as one can be so closed-minded as to really think in terms of separate generations being a thing
  17. Yes, let's hope politicians get shot, that's always good for a country. Just like journalists and lawyers being killed, moves a country forward. ..
  18. When Republicans push their agenda over the bodies of victims of whatever, it's horrible. When Democrats push their agenda over the bodies of victims of whatever, it's fine. What a world.
  19. And of course politicians coming in and immediately using this to try and push their voter ratings over the backs of shooting victims. Like what's already started on CNN.
  20. Also they have godknowshowmany less schools. Or fewer. Seriously, I get you're way too emotional in a moment like this, but think again before saying you'd prefer living in a country with higher murder rates, less wealth and other such things.
  21. Although I'm probably turning it off, because it's all the same as the hundred previous ones. Undoubtedly followed by thoughts, prayers, a poem here or there and people saying "Now we are really fed up with it!". Possibly resulting in a protest here or there, which then eventually dies down, until the next one.
  22. I depend entirely on CNN (International) and what they're showing though
  23. Journalists really need to learn not to interview three teenage girls at the same time in a situation like this. KCBS/KCAL is doing just that and the girls - of course shaken up - are all rambling non-stop in-between each other so instead of understanding at least one of them, it's made entirely impossible to understand anything at all.
