  1. Right, D-Day: the fourth, longest and final distance of this little competition, 5 kilometers. I have to run sub-24 to keep my position, my PB is 24:17, a little over a year ago, and based on what I've done in the past one and a half month (faster times than I'd ever imagined on 500m, 1500m, 3k and 10k) I know I can and probably 'have to' set a pretty strong new PB, but boy...is it gonna hurt. I'm expecting pretty much the toughest battle of all distances, especially mentally, where the bad humidity today isn't going to help. Time to play Jens Voigt on a loop in my mind.
  2. If only that was the only RCS...
  3. @justony Any idea if Sunday's Slovenian championship will be shown anywhere?
  4. Not very surprising anymore, that was expected for a while (not very surprising that rumours are going around his decision was helped along a little by, let's say, a little financial help from RCS )
  5. Let me guess: this is going to end up with China accusing India of being aggressive and India accusing China of being aggressive and so on?
  6. Niki Terpstra has had a bad training crash on a dam and is in the intensive care unit of a hospital. His life is not in danger apparently, but it's gonna be quite a road to recover.
  7. Ah, the classic 'if you vote for me, I'll give you a good sum of money in your hands' play. That's never fishy at all
  8. I would lock text too, keep it audio only. We already have Totallympics for text I mean, on Totallympics - if you don't click Submit Reply - you only need one button more (Tab + Enter) to enter your message than on most chat programs (Enter, I assume). Don't get it like I'm trying to shoot down an idea by the way, I do think it'd be fun for audio every now and then, but it has it's dangers for the forum as a whole if we're not careful.
  9. That is the only thing I would maybe use it for, although I would be cautious: so far every single forum I've been on where people at some point decided to 'also use this or that' was dead within a very short timespan because 'also using this or that' quickly turned to 'pretty much only using this or that'
  10. Still better than the Sunday of an actual Le Mans (except for last year when I had my half marathon debut on that day and so I definitely had to sleep well), when I'm usually surviving on maybe a half hour nap, snacks and pretty much the only 1-2 liters of energy drink of the year.
  11. Yesterday's races in the NASCAR Xfinity (pretty awesome) and Truck (rather boring) Series, today's races (Xfinity and Cup) will be on tomorrow's menu I guess. Sleeping for 4-5 hours thanks to the virtual Le Mans 24h race has it's effect now
  12. Yep. And if that's true, sadly all one can do now is hope she has found peace.
  13. Video of Verstappen's crash...yeah, not much you can do when your car is suddenly thrown back a corner by the game Obviously also no blame on Marciello there, he suddenly had another car pretty much in his own car, that doesn't work out, according to physics.
  14. Dutch heavyweight Ilona Lucassen has died due to for now unknown reasons, aged only 23. She was in the national team since 2016, won a GP bronze medal in 2018, silver in the European mixed teams championships in the same year and competed in Tel Aviv GP early in this year. Edit: a message from her former judo school apparently says "she has been fighting with herself immensely. Sadly she has left us last Friday."
  15. Opened it to check it out and one of the random Olympians greeting me was Yuya Oikawa Man that guy could sprint. Sure, he was pretty much done for after 200 meters or so, but he threw down some epic opening 100m's in his time
  16. #4 wins this fight and finishes second, ahead of #13 and the winners of Rebellion #1.
  17. Fantastic fight for 2nd between the ByKolles #4 and Rebellion #13
  18. Sometimes you've got a great day, sometimes circumstances make it harder, it happens. Great job on not giving up and getting to the virtual finish line anyway!
  19. Too bad, I'll try and find the individual races on YouTube then and if I can't find them, oh well.
  20. Any idea where I can watch the second half of the Impossible Games? Apparently the broadcast here was closed after the 2000m (as planned, weirdly), but I'd like to see among other things the 25 and 10 km races..it's not on YouTube, sadly.
  21. And almost 4000 deleted posts apparently, because this post of yours is already post 303800
  22. The #20 is back thanks to the red flag Only 18 laps behind the leaders, just like Alonso's car they were gifted a huge number of laps.
  23. One of the drivers described this event pretty well: "This was a test, which rFactor failed." Which is too bad, because apart from the technical problems it's a really great production.
  24. And the game broke again, red flag again
