  1. Tumolero has said he was sick during the European championships, couldn't skate for two weeks and just went all or nothing today, but during his race he realized he just didn't have the endurance at the moment.
  2. Ghioto is crapping his pants after seeing how these guys are dying like flies
  3. Rumyantsev stopped, Tumolero is dying big-time. What a race.
  4. Absolutely. If long skates are giving back pain all the time, you're either not having enough long skates or your position sucks
  5. Haha mad Jillert Anema 32.9 for someone like Bergsma on a 10k is not bad on the Nauta scale. Not a full Nauta, but not bad.
  6. Regularity is more efficient in every single endurance event, but it is indeed a bit less fun to watch sometimes
  7. I prefer the time long ago when Kramer did weird stuff like throwing in a 27.9 in a 10k to give Bokko the knockout punch
  8. Frank Dittrich you mean, I assume? But yeah, I doubt they always time it perfectly. Maybe they've attacked earlier before, got destroyed and didn't dare do it again
  9. Yeah, every single skater says 1500m is by far the most painful Way more than the longer ones
  10. Yeah, makes you wonder...did he time that 100% perfectly, or should he have attacked earlier?
  11. Wow. Beckert is now the 6th fastest skater in history and the first ever non-Dutch born to go under 12:50 12:30 is going down
  12. I find it hard to judge Bergsma's actual technique because there's always 17 meters of limbs flying around when she skates.
  13. Ice looks insanely fast btw, Loubineaud already went sub-13, Beckert and Tsuchiya are way faster for now. The WR is under threat.
  14. Thing is, their straights are often not very good, but some of them have wonderful corner techniques. Nobody does that as nice as Hiroki Hirako did though, who pretty much danced through the corners
  15. Ryosuke Tsuchiya: huge, huge fan of road cycling, apparently he knows exactly what's going on in all the European races. Also, he collects road racing bikes
  16. He trains with Bart Swings though (the inline skating part of the year) Or Swings trains with French coaches as well, I don't know.
  17. After a bad muscle injury due to an incident with a vehicle around his home (one of those agricultural things) and then rather serious burns when trying to heat up the fireplace, Sjinkie Knegt has made his comeback after a year and two months out of competition
