    It's a multi-sports event that's global instead of regional (I know not all the best youths in the world compete), and it does showcase a lot of athletes who grow up to become pretty big. And it's live sports if watching it is possible, I'm not gonna pass up that opportunity easily.

    Going through nearly 6000 opening ceremony posts on the main Dutch forum (only place I was active at the time) was a bit much, but a quick scan did reveal a post of myself saying something like "finally" and judging by the surrounding posts, that must (not surprisingly) have been when the parade of nations started

    Just to clarify: I didn't mean it in a positive light. The result is more and more street crime (by rather agressive youths especially) since police doesn't have enough money to really hire enough people to do much against it.

    I used to watch it when there was really nothing else on and Eurosport still showed it, but nowadays I don't But that's more because of it being football than because of it being the MLS, to be fair.
