  1. Yeah, it helped that the video above had the name of the event (Olympic Destiny Series 3) and some tweet had a link Nothing special in other events by the looks of it.
  2. Never mind, found it. https://fortistiming.com/liveresults/destiny3/
  3. Can we find results of this whole meet anywhere? Just out of curiousity.
  4. Here we go, not as famous as Le Mans, but infinitely more heroic because Nordschleife
  5. For most of my sports needs it's actually not I get quite far with the Eurosport Player, which for me is absolutely 1000000% worth every cent of the €40 I pay per year since I use it on a daily basis, and some official streams for this or that (like climbing, certain motorsports), downloads (in the case of things like NASCAR or boxing which I usually watch 1-2-3 days later) and of course simply the things that are on TV This might be an exception, but who knows, maybe NOS surprises and will actually use their rights to show everything. I highly doubt it since they usually don't, but who knows.
  6. 1. The men's 50k race walk, the men's mountainbike race and.....the men's road race, maybe. Not sure about the third option. 2. Any small nation which can make history in some form or another, and just small nations/teams in general, because cheering for big nations is boring.. 3. Noriaki Kasai far and away in first place, Felix Sanchez, Gerard van Velde.
  7. Great, NOS, which means we won't really be able to watch it in the Netherlands considering the YouTube stream is geoblocked when your country has a broadcaster.
  8. In Los Angeles, you mean? 5 years ineligibility from 15 August 2020
  9. Still leaves me curious as to what Lacruz meant when saying Betrian is still in the running
  10. Where's this second chance? I was just reading on Lacruz and he was talking about how it's a shame there's not a lot of media attention in the Netherlands, since it's sort of unique both he and Fontijn could go to their second Olympics and Jemyma Betrian is also still in the hunt for a ticket. She's not in this OQT though...
  11. Huh, apparently Fontijn's Greek opponent Kyriaki Aslanidi had withdrawn, so both Fontijn and Lacruz are one win away from the Olympics.
  12. Yes, I meant the prelim sessions, I was surprised they were still listed as TBC in the official schedule. Alright, we'll wait then
  13. The official program has no start time for the daily sessions other than the final sessions?
  14. That is what I meant Pros might have, generally speaking, better skills....they might not have the explosiveness to put all of that in the ring in such a short amount of time. Whereas most amateurs would most likely be gassed halfway in a pro bout (with some exceptions, obviously).
  15. Right, there you go. Pro, used to 10-12 round fights, comes in against an amateur, and isn't explosive enough to 'express' all of her power and skill in such a short fight. I can't even be that surprised
  16. Don't know how I didn't think of one of the most well-known crazies in the sports world
  17. Not due to injury, but due to being an antivaxxer: Yvette Broch (NED, handball). Out of curiousity, are there any other athletes yet of whom it's clear they'll skip the Olympics due to actively refusing a vaccine?
  18. In terms of general publicity amongst people who are not die hard sports fans, Hubbard is absolutely going to be the main story of the entire Olympics. Most people don't really care about the Olympics at all, but many will absolutely have an opinion there
  19. About time. Although still a reduced version of the course...waiting for the first organizer to have some balls (no pun intended) and host a race on the exact same course as the men.
  20. Any schedule anywhere? Mostly interested in Lacruz and Fontijn
  21. Raymond van Barneveld, sort of Although not internationally, I believe. The sports in which Sainz and Peterhansel competed are rather physical, like most motor sports (especially rally), but since it's more about endurance than being explosive, you do see some oldies, true
  22. Noriaki Kasai (ski jumping), sort of. Not too much anymore in terms of international competitions, sadly Let's see if we can find more who started not in the 90's, but in the 80's
  23. Oscar Sevilla (cycling) Davide Rebellin (cycling, already 9th in Il Lombardia in 1992) Francisco Mancebo (cycling) Not at Valverde's level, but also not that obscure, so they count
  24. No Yvette Broch for the Dutch team, because antivaxxer. Alrighty then
