  1. The lasers were there at every important moment, like both penalties, unfortunately. Luckily for Greece the first one was taken by Weghorst, who took the Poorest Penalty of the Year Award Didn't really see questionable calls yesterday to be honest. Both penalties were clear penalties, Greece was lucky the clear foul after 96 minutes or so didn't end up in another one (the guy attacked, I believe, Dumfries and then coincidentally slightly brushed the ball with his foot afterwards)... I would imagine Greek fans must have been incredibly annoyed with Gustavo Poyet as well? He was asking to be sent off all the time, and was lucky he only got it in the last 2 minutes or so... I do agree Greece deserves to qualify in the end (more so than the Netherlands, by the way), so hopefully it works out through the playoffs. Shouldn't be too much of an issue though, the luck of being in league C
  2. Van Dijk scoring a 92nd minute penalty, straight in the face of some Greek loser with a laser light middlefinger.gif
  3. Some drunk Greek asking for a stadium ban with his laser light.
  4. In which sense?
  5. After missing out on 2022 in such a bad way, I'm not sure how I am going to handle the situation here at home if now 2026 would be entirely cancelled.....so no please And sliding sports being cancelled would be awful, I'd much rather see ice hockey or figure skating be cancelled (but much much rather see nothing cancelled obviously). St Moritz seems unlikely I guess, but would be super awesome
  6. Meh, that is highly unfortunate. Understandable, but unfortunate Innsbruck is a fun little track, but that's just it: little. It feels way too short for a modern-day Olympic sliding track..
  7. Massive coincidence. I was reading a CNN piece on the Hamas attacks, where they wrote about using SunCalc (a website) to geolocate/time certain videos. Right, I checked the website out, noticed that if you click on a place it shows the next solar eclipse (partial or full) and saw that here in the Netherlands in March 2025 there is a 24% eclipse happening. Cool. Clicked on Brazil out of curiousity and....turns out there is a large partial to almost full eclipse in large parts of the America's......today https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse_of_October_14,_2023 Seriously, the coincidence. It's not like these things happen on a daily or even monthly basis. So if you're in the Americas, read up a bit and enjoy (with care for your eyes, obviously)!
  8. Ah no, that is highly unfortunate I thought in the case of one or two missing songs, everyone would do the same: just look those up separately. I'll see when I have time to make one for myself and start listening then, YouTube is awful for listening on the way (since you have to have the app opened and the screen on). Edit: as so often I kind of overreacted, sorry I'll post mine here in case anyone wants it anyway (and list which songs I couldn't find)!
  9. I believe we have a thread for that as well, but I'm too lazy to find it right now
  10. But why would France add cricket? Remember, this is about countries specifically choosing some addition, like the US choosing flag football (which probably 99% of people outside of the US have never even heard of)
  11. Right, if we can also add disciplines/events instead of whole sports, marathon speed skating and cyclocross would be good choices indeed. Even better: kick out the mass start and replace it with the marathon
  12. Nobody cares about korfball though I don't mean internationally, I mean here in the Netherlands. I believe there is like one derby between two small towns that's a big deal....in those two small towns, but that's about it. You'll find more people who can name 10+ current MotoGP riders and 10+ current biathletes (to pick a random example of relatively small sports here) than people who can name a single current national team korfball player, no doubt. Sure, without korfball I wouldn't exist, but still
  13. Nothing, really We don't have any sports that are children's versions of real sports (flag football) or that are real sports but immensely popular in a very specific area yet entirely unknown outside of it (cricket), so....yeah. I wonder how @Dennis, @Jinzha or @Noorderling29 would see this, but I very much doubt we'd add something 'Dutch' like kaatsen or fierljeppen which are Frisian things specifically and basically entirely unknown outside of it (personally I only know of their existence and that's it)
  14. Dear fellow TOISC 2023 participants, I have just received word that our dear Californian @Olympian1010 will be providing us all with an extra amazing show, with a large focus on a near-infinite buffet. As our Slovak mate @hckošice will surely much appreciate, at least until the next morning, part of this will be a limitless bar until and of course including the closing ceremony. Of course we would like to congratulate Olympian1010 himself as well and thank him for his generosity in having us share in his luck https://www.powerball.com/ticket-in-california-wins-1.765-billion-powerball-jackpot
  15. That would be fantastic! I always end up forgetting to listen everything in time because I'm waiting for a 'good moment' to sit down and listen, but with a Spotify playlist I can simply listen basically the whole list in one cycling training without needing to take specific time for it
  16. Now that's some glimmer of hope, let's go Kuzmina
  17. Damn, Belgium was so close to their first ever Olympics
  18. And the only non-pacer who followed him, Mateiko, taking the lead for a grand total of....2 seconds, maybe? And I am assuming he's also running on those one-race megasupershoes
  19. Kelvin Kiptum is running an amazing race in Chicago and very much attacking Kipchoge's world record.
  20. I truly doubt Palestine having it's own state (or not) is going to have actual influence on whether or not that entire area will ever be peaceful for - let's start 'easily' - half a century. Sadly. Much like the whole Armenia/Azerbaijan thing, that's never going to be a calm part of the world for more than a couple of years...
  21. I'm definitely not an avid gymnastics follower, but at least at Olympics and world championships I've been watching it for quite a few years now. Today I came to the realization that the low bar in the uneven bars is not standing straight, but at an outwards angle Well damn.
  22. Yuri van Gelder has some nightmares about it as well, like needing to become world champion simply to qualify for the Olympics Although his never-ending drug use was a bigger issue, admittedly
  23. Hopefully she lost it....nothing against her at all, but it wouldn't be a good sign if someone gets a medal with 50% of her final having gone wrong
  24. Finally I'm caught up on everything and can watch live and first thing I see is Biles messing up her final....oops
